the witcher game review

Alright, listen up, y’all. I’m gonna tell ya ’bout this here “Witcher” game. My grandson, he’s always yammerin’ ’bout it, so I figured I’d take a gander myself. Don’t know much ’bout these fancy computer things, but I can tell ya if somethin’s good or not.

First off, they say this Witcher 3 game is a real big deal. Like, the best ever made, some folks reckon. Now, I ain’t played no other “Witcher” games, but this one, it’s somethin’ else. It’s got this fella, Geralt, he’s a witcher, see? Kinda like a monster hunter, but with magic and stuff. He’s got white hair and cat eyes, looks a bit rough around the edges, if ya ask me.

The world, oh Lordy, it’s huge! Bigger than anythin’ I ever seen. You can wander around for hours, ridin’ your horse, Roach, and findin’ all sorts of things. Towns, forests, swamps, caves… you name it, it’s probably in there. And the people, they’re all different. Some nice, some mean, some downright crazy. Just like real life, I guess.

  • They say the story is somethin’ special. Somethin’ ’bout Geralt lookin’ for his daughter, Ciri. And there’s magic and monsters and war and all sorts of trouble. I ain’t gonna lie, sometimes I got a bit lost, but it kept me interested, that’s for sure. It ain’t like them soap operas on TV, but it’s got its own kinda drama.
  • And the fightin’! That’s where it gets good. Geralt, he’s got two swords, see? One for monsters, one for people. And he’s got magic too. He can throw fire, make shields, all sorts of stuff. The fightin’ can be tough, though. You gotta be smart, use your potions and oils and all that. But when you finally beat a tough monster, it feels real good. Like slappin’ a fly that’s been buzzin’ ’round your head all day.

Now, the game ain’t perfect, mind you. My grandson, he says there were some things in the other games that weren’t in this one. And sometimes the controls felt a bit clunky to me, like tryin’ to thread a needle with mittens on. But overall, it’s a darn good game. Kept me busy for hours, and that’s sayin’ somethin’ for an old gal like me.

They say you don’t need to play the other “Witcher” games to understand this one, and that’s true enough. I jumped right in and figured things out pretty quick. But my grandson, he says it’s even better if you played the others. Says you get to know the characters better and understand the story more. Maybe so, maybe so. But I had a good time just playin’ this one.

The graphics, as they call ’em, are somethin’ else too. The world looks real, you know? Like you could reach out and touch the trees and the water. And the monsters, some of ’em are downright scary. Made me jump a few times, I tell ya. But it’s all part of the fun.

So, if you’re lookin’ for a game that’ll keep you entertained for a long time, this “Witcher 3” might be just the ticket. It’s got a big world to explore, a good story to follow, and plenty of fightin’ to keep you busy. Just be warned, it ain’t for the faint of heart. There’s blood and guts and monsters and all sorts of things that might make some folks squeamish. But if you can handle that, you’re in for a real treat.

And one more thing, they talk a lot, them characters. Sometimes too much, if you ask me. But the voice actin’, as they call it, is pretty good. Makes the characters feel real, like they’re actually talkin’ to you. And you get to make choices, see? Decide what Geralt does and says. And those choices, they matter. They change the story, make it go in different directions. That’s somethin’ I ain’t seen in many games before.

Overall, this here “Witcher 3” game, it’s a winner in my book. It ain’t perfect, but it’s darn close. If you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to sink your teeth into, somethin’ that’ll keep you entertained for weeks, maybe even months, give it a try. You might just like it, even if you’re just an old lady like me who don’t know nothin’ ’bout these fancy computer things.

So there ya have it. My two cents on this “Witcher” game. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about monsters and fightin’ has made me hungry.
