the order ps4 game review

Alright, so you wanna know about this here “The Order” game on that PS4 thingy, right? Okay, okay, I’ll tell ya what I know. My grandson, he plays all these fancy games, and I watch sometimes, ya know, when I ain’t busy with the chickens.

So, this The Order: 1886, they say it’s the best-lookin’ game ever on that there PS4. I gotta say, it is pretty. Real pretty. Like, them pictures, they almost look real. Them faces, the clothes, the streets… all fancy and shiny. My grandson says it’s “cinematic.” Don’t know what that means, but it sure looks nice.

But listen here, pretty ain’t everything, ya hear? This game, it’s… well, it’s kinda short. Seven hours, they say. Seven hours! Back in my day, a game lasted you all summer! You’d play and play and play, and it still wouldn’t be done. But this here, seven hours and poof, it’s over. Seems like a waste of money, if you ask me.

Now, about the story… well, it’s somethin’ about history and secrets and this fella named Sir Galahad. He’s one of them knights, you know, from that round table story. But this ain’t no regular knight story. They got these fancy guns and gadgets. It’s like history, but with… well, with more bang-bang, ya know?

  • They say it’s an action-adventure game.
  • You play as this Sir Galahad fella.
  • It’s all in that “third-person” thing, where you see the fella you’re playin’ runnin’ around.

My grandson, he says the gameplay is kinda… lackin’. Yeah, that’s the word he used. Lackin’. Means it ain’t all that great. I watched him play, and it seemed like a lot of walkin’ around and shootin’ a few fellas. Then more walkin’. And then another shootin’ part. And then a movie part, lots of talkin’ and fancy stuff happenin’. It’s like, they spent all their time makin’ it look good, and forgot to make it fun to play for long.

The story, it’s supposed to be a big deal, ya know? All mysterious and whatnot. But from what I saw, it’s kinda… half-baked. Like, they started tellin’ a big story, and then they just… stopped. My grandson says it feels like they were gonna make another game to finish the story, but then they didn’t. Seems like a cheat, if you ask me.

So, is it a good game? Well, it depends on what you want. If you want somethin’ pretty to look at, then yeah, it’s good. It’s real pretty. But if you want a game that’s gonna keep you busy for a long time, or a game with a story that makes sense, then maybe you should look somewhere else. It’s like buyin’ a fancy cake that looks amazing but tastes like… well, like nothin’ much. Pretty, but not much substance, ya know?

My grandson, he played it once and then went back to his other games. The ones with the zombies and the shootin’ and the buildin’ stuff. Those seem more fun to me, even if they ain’t as pretty. At least they keep ya busy, ya know?

So, that’s the story on The Order. Pretty game, short game, kinda weird story. You wanna play it, go ahead. But don’t say I didn’t warn ya. There’s plenty of other fish in the sea, as they say, or games on the shelf, I guess. And you best listen to your grandma, ha!
