Alright, let’s talk about them strategy games on the PS, you know, the ones where you gotta think a bit, not just shoot everything that moves. My grandson, he’s always playing these things, so I’ve seen a bit, ya know?

First off, they got this Baldur’s Gate 3 thing. Everyone’s yappin’ about it. Came out in August, they say. It’s one of them RPG strategy games, whatever that means. Sounds fancy, huh? Probably gotta plan your moves and stuff, not just run around like a headless chicken.

Then there’s these games they call “RTS.” Real-Time Strategy, I think they said. It’s like, the clock’s always tickin’. You gotta be quick, think fast, make decisions. Not like them old games where you wait your turn, you know, like checkers or somethin’. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want. Kinda stressful if you ask me, but the young folks, they love it.

They got games where you build stuff too. Like, one where you build a whole theme park! Can you imagine? All them rides and cotton candy. Or another one where you’re a robber in the Wild West, plannin’ a heist. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but hey, it’s just a game, right?

Now, they say these strategy games, they ain’t easy. You gotta use your brain, they say. Not just your thumbs. Good for the young ones, keeps ’em out of trouble, maybe. Unless they start plannin’ real heists after playin’ them games, then we got a problem!

A lot of folks say, “Oh, strategy games, they’re all on the computer.” But, you know, they got plenty on the PS4 and PS5 too. You just gotta know where to look. My grandson, he finds ’em all the time. He says there’s no shortage, whatever that means. Plenty to go around, I guess.

And this Civilization 6 game, it’s a big deal, apparently. It’s one of them strategy games where you build your own little world, from the ground up. They added some new stuff, districts they call ‘em, makes the cities bigger, more spread out. My grandson says it’s better than the old ones, but what do I know? They all look the same to me, all them little people and buildings.

  • Building stuff is a big part of many strategy games.
  • Thinking fast and making quick decisions is important too.
  • There are lots of different kinds of strategy games, like RPGs and RTS games.

Heard a whisper the other day, somethin’ about Age of Empires II comin’ to PS5. That’s one of them old-timey games, right? With knights and castles and all that. Microsoft’s makin’ it, they say. Never thought I’d see the day, them Microsoft fellas puttin’ their games on a Sony machine. Times are changin’, I guess.

There’s other games too, not just the big-name ones. My grandson, he plays all sorts. Games where you work together with a friend, like It Takes Two or A Way Out. Or those cartoony ones like Rayman Legends or Sackboy. Not sure if they’re strategy games, but they look fun. Even got one called Tiny Tina’s Borderlands, somethin’ like that. Lots of shootin’ in that one, but maybe there’s some plannin’ involved too, I dunno.

Anyways, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to keep your brain busy, these strategy games on the PS might be just the ticket. Just don’t blame me if you get hooked! And remember, it ain’t all about shootin’ and runnin’. Sometimes you gotta think a little, plan ahead. That’s what they tell me, anyway.

So, yeah, that’s the lowdown on them strategy games, as best as I can tell ya. Go ask your grandkids, they probably know more than me. Just don’t let ‘em spend all day glued to the screen, ya hear? Get ‘em outside for some fresh air once in a while. That’s good for the brain too, you know.

Strategy games on PS, huh? Who woulda thought? Back in my day, we had sticks and rocks. And we liked it! But these newfangled games, they ain’t so bad, I guess. Just gotta use your noggin’, that’s all.
