So today, I’m messing around with something a little different – making a Roblox cake topper. Yeah, you heard that right. My kid’s obsessed with Roblox, and his birthday’s coming up, so I thought, why not give it a shot?

First off, I gotta say, I’m no pro at this stuff. But hey, it’s the effort that counts, right? I started by looking up some ideas online. There’s a ton of cool stuff out there, but I wanted something simple, yet personalized. I found some designs that other folks have done – all sorts of colors and styles, some for boys, some for girls. It’s a whole world of Roblox cake toppers!

Gathering My Stuff

• Cardstock – in a few different colors, because who wants a boring topper?
• Glue – gotta stick it all together somehow.
• Wooden skewers – to hold the topper up on the cake.
• Scissors – for all that cutting.
• My trusty printer – to print out the Roblox design I picked.

I found this one design that said “Blox Gamer” and thought, that’s perfect! It’s about 10×5 inches, which is a pretty decent size for a cake topper. I printed that out on some sturdy cardstock. Then came the fun part – cutting it out. I’m not the best with scissors, so it took a bit of time, but I got there in the end.

Next, I had to figure out how to make it stand up. I grabbed a couple of wooden skewers and glued them to the back of the topper. I had to hold them in place for a while to make sure they stuck properly. While that was drying, I cut out some extra shapes from the colored cardstock, just to add a bit more flair. I’m talking about stars, circles, the usual. Once the skewers were secure, I glued these extra bits onto the topper, making it look a bit more festive.

Honestly, it was a bit of a trial-and-error process. Some parts were easier than others. Like, cutting out the small details was a real pain, but gluing everything together was kind of fun. In the end, it turned out pretty cool! It’s not perfect, but it’s got that handmade touch, you know? Plus, I got to customize it with my kid’s name and age, which makes it even more special.

I saw online that you can even buy these toppers, some for like $17.99, and they look super professional. But where’s the fun in that? Making it yourself is way more satisfying. And cheaper, to be honest. I saw some edible ones too, for like $8.69 or $15.99, but I like the idea of having something you can keep afterward.
