resident evil revelations game review
Alright, so I decided to play “Resident Evil Revelations” the other day. I’d heard a bit about it, mostly that it was meant to be a return to the series’ survival horror roots. Sounds interesting right?
I started the game up, and I gotta say, the atmosphere was pretty good. Creepy, abandoned ship, all that good stuff. It felt like a good mix of the old and the new Resident Evil games. You know what I mean? That classic survival horror feeling, mixed in with the newer gameplay mechanics that a lot of people really like. Also, they put in voice acting, which is nice.
The game was a 3DS game at first, then got ported to consoles and PC. So I played it, explored around a bit, and fought off some mutated creatures. It was fun, kind of spooky. I was like, yeah, this is pretty solid. It wasn’t the scariest game ever, but it was good, definitely not boring at all.
I played through the whole story. It was fine. Kept me playing, but nothing super exciting, you know? I remember thinking, “Well, that was a game.” It wasn’t amazing or anything, but it wasn’t bad either. It was just kind of… there. Just a game to play.
One thing I gotta say, the game was pretty popular. Sold a bunch of copies. People seemed to like it. I guess it depends on what you’re looking for in a Resident Evil game. Most critics gave it good reviews, and a lot of them talked about the spooky atmosphere and stuff, which I guess I agree with.

Here is the thing, it wasn’t a bad game, but it wasn’t something I’d rush to play again. And there is a sequel, called Revelations 2. I heard a lot of good things about it, they said this game is a gem. It looks good, I would like to try it.
- It’s a fine game.
- It’s not too scary.
- It’s not that exciting.
- It’s playable but not memorable.
Here is what I think about this game:
So, yeah, that was my experience with “Resident Evil Revelations.” Have you guys played it? What did you think? Let me know in the comments!
