You know, those PSP games, they got all sorts of things in ’em. Some folks like the shooty ones, some like the racing ones. But me, I like the ones where you gotta think. You know, the strategy ones. They make you use your noggin.

Now, I ain’t no expert, but I know what I like. And I like them games where you gotta plan things out. Like, where you gonna put your guys, what you gonna do with ’em. It’s like when you’re plantin’ a garden, gotta think about where the sun hits, where the water goes.

One game I heard about, Tactics Ogre, somethin’ like that. Folks say it’s real good. You move your people around on a map, fightin’ other folks. Sounds like checkers, but fancier. You gotta think ahead, figure out what the other guy’s gonna do. Like plannin’ a potluck, gotta make sure you got enough food for everyone.

• You gotta know where to put your folks.
• You gotta know what they’re good at.
• You gotta know what the other guy’s gonna do.

Another one, Civilization Revolution. That one’s about buildin’ stuff, makin’ your own little world. Like when you’re buildin’ a shed, gotta get the wood, the nails, gotta put it all together just right. In this game, you build cities, make armies, fight other folks. It’s like runnin’ a town meeting, gotta keep everyone happy.

And there’s this Jeanne D’Arc game. Don’t know much about it, but it’s got a lady in it, fightin’ with a sword. Sounds like somethin’ outta them stories they tell in church. Gotta be smart though, can’t just go swingin’ your sword around. Gotta plan things out, use your head.

Then there’s Disgaea. Now, that one’s a funny one. Little cartoon people fightin’ each other. But don’t let that fool ya, it’s still about strategy. You gotta level up your folks, make ’em stronger. Like raisin’ chickens, gotta feed ’em good, keep ’em healthy.

And somethin’ called PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe. Never played it, but I heard it’s about buildin’ towers to keep monsters out. Like buildin’ a fence to keep the rabbits outta your garden. You gotta think about where to put them towers, what kind to use. It’s all about plannin’ ahead.

Strategy games, they ain’t for everyone. Some folks like the fast stuff, the shootin’ and the racin’. But me, I like the ones that make you think. Like when you’re cookin’ a big dinner, gotta make sure everything’s done at the right time, gotta make sure you got enough for everyone. It’s the same with these games, gotta plan ahead, gotta use your head.

You know, they say the PSP was a good thing for these strategy games. Small enough to carry around, but big enough to see what’s goin’ on. Like havin’ a good pair of glasses, helps you see things clear. And these games, they help you see things clear too. Help you think ahead, plan things out. Like plannin’ a trip, gotta know where you’re goin’, how you’re gonna get there. It’s the same with these games, gotta have a plan.

So if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to make you think, somethin’ to keep your mind busy, try one of them strategy games on the PSP. You might be surprised how much you like ’em. Like when you try a new recipe and it turns out real good. You never know ’til you try.
