ps4 strategy game
Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about them PS4 strategy games. Folks always talkin’ ’bout shootin’ and runnin’, but sometimes you gotta use your brain, you know? Like plantin’ corn, gotta think ahead, plan things out. Same with these games.
I heard tell of some fancy ones, like this “Valkyria Chronicles Remastered”. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? Don’t know what it’s about exactly, but they say it’s one of them thinkin’ games. Probably got soldiers and battles, but you gotta tell ‘em where to go and what to do, like directin’ a bunch of chickens in the yard.
Then there’s this “Baldur’s Gate 3”. Heard it came out recent, August somethin’. Probably got wizards and dragons and all that magical stuff. My grandkid, he’s always talkin’ ‘bout these games, says you gotta make choices, decide who to trust. Sounds like real life, ‘cept with more spells and less gossiping at the church social.
Now, what makes a strategy game a strategy game? Well, it ain’t just runnin’ around like a headless chicken, that’s for sure. It’s about plannin’ and schemin’, like figgerin’ out how to get the best price for your eggs at the market. Some of ‘em are turn-based, like that game “Worms”. You take your turn, then the other fella takes his. Kinda like checkers, only with more explosions, I reckon.
- Turn-based Strategy: You wait your turn, like in checkers, to make your move. Plan it out good, though, ‘cause one wrong move can mess everything up.
- Real-time Strategy: This is like tryin’ to keep the cows from gettin’ out while the chickens are tryin’ to sneak into the garden. Everything happens at once, gotta think fast. Something like “Tropico”, where you’re buildin’ a city, gotta keep everyone happy and fed, and the dang pirates away.
They say these strategy games are tough, make you use your noodle. Gotta have discipline, gotta think ahead. Can’t just go chargin’ in, gotta plan your attack, or your defense, or whatever you’re doin’ in the game. Like plantin’ a garden, gotta think about the sun, the water, and when them darn rabbits are gonna come sniffin’ around.

And then there’s this “Civilization 6”. Folks say you can’t talk about strategy games without mentionin’ it. Sounds like you build your own little world, from nothin’ to somethin’. Kinda like startin’ with a patch of dirt and endin’ up with a whole farm, ‘cept with more fightin’ and less milkin’ cows. They say it’s been around for a while, got all sorts of extra stuff added on.
Now, some folks say you gotta play these games on a computer, but there’s plenty of ‘em on the PS4 and PS5, too. You just gotta know where to look, like findin’ them good ripe tomatoes at the market. Don’t go lookin’ for ‘em on that Xbox thing, though. Heard they ain’t got none there.
So, if you’re tired of all that shootin’ and jumpin’, maybe give one of these strategy games a try. Might be hard at first, like learnin’ to drive a tractor, but once you get the hang of it, it’s mighty satisfyin’. Nothin’ like outsmartin’ your opponent, whether it’s a dragon, a bunch of worms, or another player tryin’ to take your land.
And remember, even if you lose, don’t fret none. It’s just a game, like losin’ a hand of cards at the church social. Just pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try again. That’s what life’s all about, ain’t it?
Strategy games for PS4, huh? Who knew there were so many? Makes an old lady’s head spin, all this talk of turn-based this and real-time that. But I reckon it’s just like life, gotta think ahead, make a plan, and hope for the best. And if things go south, well, you just gotta try again. Just like bakin’ a pie, sometimes it turns out perfect, sometimes it’s a bit of a mess, but you learn somethin’ either way.
So next time those young’uns are talkin’ ’bout their fancy PS4 games, you can tell ’em you know a thing or two about strategy. It ain’t all shootin’ and runnin’, you know? Sometimes, you gotta use your brain. Just like plantin’ them potatoes, or bargainin’ at the market, you gotta plan ahead and know what you’re doin’. And that’s the truth, I tell ya, the whole truth and nothin’ but.
