ps3 strategy games

[Article Body]

Alright, alright, let’s talk about them PS3 strategy games, you know, the ones where you gotta think a bit, not just shooty-shooty bang-bang all the time. I ain’t no fancy gamer girl, but I do like a good game that makes you scratch your head sometimes.

So, what are these “strategy” games anyway? Well, from what I gather, they’re the ones where you gotta plan things out, you know? Like, think ahead, not just run in guns blazing. Some are slow, like them turn-based thingamajigs, where you take your turn, then the computer takes its turn. Kinda like checkers, but with more stuff goin’ on.

Then you got the real-time ones, where everything’s happening all at once. That’s like trying to cook dinner, answer the phone, and watch the grandkids all at the same time! A real mess if you ain’t careful.

One game everyone keeps yappin’ about is this “Valkyria Chronicles” thing. Sega made it, whoever they are. Sounds fancy, huh? I heard it’s got some kinda story, and you gotta move your little soldier guys around and shoot at the bad guys. But it ain’t just point and shoot, see? You gotta think about where you put your fellas, or they’ll get their butts kicked.

  • You gotta position them right
  • Make sure they got cover
  • Use the right weapons

It’s like plannin’ a garden, I tell ya. You don’t just throw seeds everywhere and hope for the best, do ya? Nah, you gotta think about where the sun shines, how much water they need, all that jazz.

Then there’s this “X-COM: Enemy Unknown.” Now, that’s a mouthful, ain’t it? Apparently, it’s a remake of some old game. You’re in charge of some kinda squad fighting aliens. Sounds scary, but I bet it’s fun. You gotta manage your resources, build stuff, and fight off them space critters. Kinda like runnin’ a farm, but with more lasers and less manure…mostly.

And speaking of managin’ things, that’s a big part of strategy games. You gotta think about your money, your supplies, your people… all sorts of stuff. It ain’t just about winnin’ battles, it’s about keepin’ everything runnin’ smooth. Like keepin’ a house clean, you know? You gotta sweep the floors, wash the dishes, do the laundry… it’s never-ending!

Some folks like them “Civilization” games. I heard they’re real complicated, with all sorts of numbers and charts and whatnot. You’re basically buildin’ a whole dang civilization from scratch! Cities, armies, wonders… the whole shebang. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but I guess some folks enjoy that kinda thing. It’s like knittin’ a big ol’ blanket, I suppose. Takes a long time, but it’s real satisfying when you’re done.

Now, I ain’t played all these games myself, mind you. I just hear things from the young’uns. They’re always goin’ on about the “best PS3 strategy games” and the “top 25” this and that. Seems like there’s a whole heap of ’em out there. But one thing’s for sure, if you want a game that makes you use your brain a little, strategy games are the way to go. They ain’t just for kids, neither. Even an old gal like me can appreciate a good thinkin’ game now and then.

So, if you’re tired of all that mindless shootin’ and lootin’, give one of these strategy games a try. You might just surprise yourself. And hey, if you get stuck, just ask your grandkids for help. They probably know more about this stuff than I do anyway. Just don’t let them play all day, or they won’t get no work done around the house!

But remember, it’s all about havin’ fun. Whether you’re savin’ the world from aliens, buildin’ an empire, or just tryin’ to keep your little soldiers alive, a good strategy game can keep you entertained for hours. Just don’t forget to take a break every now and then, stretch your legs, and maybe have a nice cup of tea. That’s what I always say!

And for goodness sake, don’t stay up all night playin’! You need your rest, or you’ll be too tired to do anything else. A good night’s sleep is important, you know.

Anyways, that’s my two cents on them PS3 strategy games. Hope it helped ya out some. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go water my plants.
