playstation games strategy
Alright, let’s gab about them PlayStation games, the ones where ya gotta think a bit, you know? Not just shootin’ and jumpin’ all the time. Them strategy games, they call ‘em. Heard some young’uns talkin’ ‘bout it down at the store.
What Them Young’uns Play
One game they keep yappin’ about is somethin’ called Baldur’s Gate 3. Sounds fancy, huh? They say it came out in August, not too long ago. I ain’t played it, mind you, but they say it’s real good for thinkin’. Lots of plannin’ and whatnot. Like chess, but with more magic and monsters, I reckon. They say it’s a real “masterclass” in them strategy games, whatever that means. Sounds like a school thing, but for games.
Then there’s this other one, Tactics Ogre: Reborn. Ogre? Like them big green things? Guess so. This one’s on somethin’ called PS5, which I hear is the new PlayStation. Must be real fancy. They say it brings back somethin’ old but makes it new again. Sounds like my grandma’s old recipes, she used to make ’em all the time saying the same thing.
- Games for Thinkers
Now, I heard tell there ain’t too many of these strategy games on the PS4, the older one. There’s one called Grand Ages: Medieval. Medieval? That’s like knights and castles and stuff, right? Sounds complicated. They say it’s got lots of menus and you gotta manage your money real careful. Like runnin’ a farm, but with more swords and less chickens, I guess.

And you can’t talk about strategy without talkin’ ‘bout Civilization 6. Heard of that one before. Been around a long time, they say. It’s about buildin’ a whole dang civilization, from nothin’ to somethin’ big. Sounds like hard work to me. They say this new one’s got somethin’ called districts, which makes the cities spread out more. More land to look after, I reckon.
How to Keep Your Games Straight
Now, these young’uns got so many games, they can’t even keep ‘em straight. They showed me this trick, though. You press the triangle button on the game, go all the way down, and hit “Information”. Then you can put the games in albums, like pictures. You can call an album “PixelJunk games” or “Platinum games” or whatever you want. Helps keep things tidy, they say. I just keep my yarn in a basket, that’s tidy enough for me.
Other Games They Like
They also talk about a bunch of other games, not all strategy, but they like ‘em. There’s some called Darksiders, Ratchet & Clank, that one with the orange fella jumpin’ around, Crash Bandicoot. And then there’s Infamous – Second Son, Death Stranding, somethin’ real weird with babies and packages, Devil May Cry 5, Bloodbourne, real scary one, they say. The Last Guardian, with a big bird-dog thing, Horizon Zero Dawn & Forbidden West, with robot dinosaurs, Nioh 1 & 2, samurai stuff, Uncharted series, treasure huntin’ adventures, Concrete Genie, where you paint on walls, Knack 2, that little fella made of rocks, Shadow of The Beast, another scary one, and Final Fantasy VII Remake, which is a big long story about savin’ the world, they say. Lots of games, huh? Too many for an old lady like me.
Strategy Games: Good for the Brain?
So, them strategy games, they seem like they’re good for the brain, makin’ ya think and plan ahead. Maybe I should try one someday, but I reckon I’ll stick to my crossword puzzles for now. Less complicated, and no monsters to worry about. But them young’uns, they sure do love their thinkin’ games. Keeps ’em busy, I suppose. And that’s a good thing, keeps them out of trouble, mostly.
But one thing for sure, with all this games and stuff, it’s a whole new world now, more things than a body can imagine. Makes you wonder what they will be playing 10 years from now, probably got the games playing themselves then! Well that’s all the yapping I got on them games for now, go on and play, or don’t, it aint’ going to bother me none.
