Lenovo RTX 50 Series Gaming Laptop Is Only $650 In Best Buy’s Black Friday Sale

If you’re in the market for a budget-friendly gaming laptop this holiday season, Best Buy’s early Black Friday sale includes an awesome deal on a recently released model from Lenovo. The Lenovo LOQ 15.6-inch Gaming Laptop is discounted to only $650 (was $1,100). It’s the only gaming laptop in Best Buy’s sale catalog so far, but there are a bunch of gaming desktop deals.

The $450 price cut on the Lenovo LOQ isn’t categorized as a Doorbuster, so it’s possible the deal will stick around beyond Sunday, November 2, but it’s not guaranteed. Best Buy’s “DoorBOOsters” are only available this weekend and include the Lenovo IdeaPad 1i for $300 (was $600).

The Lenovo LOQ has a pretty solid display for a $1,100 gaming laptop and a very solid display for a $650 gaming laptop. The 15.6-inch LCD screen has a 144Hz refresh rate and Nvidia’s G-Sync adaptive frame rate tech. It has a full 100% standard RGB color gamut, which often isn’t the case with gaming laptops in this price range. It offers 300 nits brightness and has an anti-glare coating.

The GeForce RTX 5050 GPU is an entry-level graphics card–at least when compared to the rest of Nvidia’s 50 Series lineup. It offers nice improvements compared to the RTX 4050, but it’s not quite as good as the RTX 4060. Don’t expect to play the latest AAA games on high settings, but you can play many games in 1080p at 60fps thanks DLSS upscaling. If you want to connect your laptop to a monitor for 1440p or 4K gaming, you will need to look elsewhere; the 5050 is only suitable for 1080p.

The Intel Core i5-13450HX is an entry-level processor with 10 CPU cores and 16 threads. It has a base clock speed of 3.4GHz and can boost to 4.6GHz.

Like most gaming laptops that retail for around $1,000, the Lenovo LOQ comes with 16GB of DDR5 RAM. It has two memory slots and can be upgraded to 32GB (16GB in each slot).

When it comes to PC gaming, 512GB of storage space really isn’t a lot these days, especially if you play a lot of AAA games and online multiplayer titles with frequent updates. If you’re concerned about storage space, check out Best Buy’s early Black Friday deals on external solid-state drives. One notable weekend deal is the 2TB Crucial X9 Pro External SSD for $130 (was $180).

It’s not on the budget side, but PC gamers who are interested in super-ultrawide gaming monitors can score a terrific Doorbuster deal on a 49-inch Samsung monitor. The Samsung Odyssey G950 OLED is discounted to $850 (was $1,800)–more than 50% off its MSRP.
