halo 3 video game review

Alright, so you wanna know about this Halo 3 game, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it’s somethin’ else. My grandkids, they’re always yellin’ about it, shootin’ aliens and whatnot. So, I sat down and watched ’em play a bit, and I gotta say, it’s kinda fun, even for an old lady like me.

First off, this Halo 3, it’s the third one in this big Halo story. Like them soap operas on TV, always goin’ on and on. This one, they say it finishes up the story from the first game, Halo: Combat Evolved. Don’t ask me what that means, sounds fancy. But basically, you got this big green soldier guy, Master Chief they call him, and he’s fightin’ all sorts of ugly aliens. Big ones, small ones, ones with shields, ones that fly… you name it, he shoots it.

Now, this game, it ain’t just shootin’, though there’s plenty of that. My grandkids, they tell me it’s got all sorts of ways to play. You got your regular story mode, where you follow Master Chief and see how the whole thing ends. Then you got these other modes, where you can play with your friends or against other folks online. They call it “multiplayer.” Sounds like a party line, but with more shootin’.

• Story Mode: You follow the Master Chief and finish the fight.
• Multiplayer: You play with or against other people online.
• Forge Mode: My grandkids say you can even make your own maps and games in this one. Sounds like a lot of work to me.

From what I can tell, Halo 3, it’s better than that Halo 2 game. They added more stuff, you know? More guns, more ways to play, more aliens to shoot. And it looks real purdy, too. The explosions, the spaceships, the aliens… it’s all very colorful. My grandkids, they say it’s the best Halo game ever made. Folks even say it’s one of the best games of all time, can ya believe that? Broke all sorts of records when it came out, they tell me.

What makes it so good? Well, I guess it’s just plain fun. The shootin’ feels good, they say. And even though it’s got all this fancy stuff, it’s still easy to pick up and play. My youngest grandson, he’s only eight, and he’s already beatin’ his older brother. And let me tell you, that older brother, he ain’t too happy about it! They play it all the time. They say it’s because it’s the most complete game and its competitive. Other games added things like sprintin’ and armor lock, but they didn’t like that as much.

So, if you’re lookin’ for a good game, somethin’ with lots of action and excitement, you might wanna give this Halo 3 a try. Even an old lady like me can see why folks love it so much. It’s exciting to watch, them aliens flyin’ everywhere, lasers goin’ pew pew pew, and Master Chief savin’ the day. Just don’t ask me to play, my fingers ain’t what they used to be!

And that’s about all I know about this Halo 3. It’s a good game, a fun game, and a game that lots of folks seem to enjoy. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some cookies for my grandkids. All that shootin’ makes ’em hungry!

It’s a blast from the past, but still holds up. I reckon that’s why they keep playin’ it, even after all these years. So, go on, give it a try. You might just like it.
