genshin impact tcg decks

Today, I wanna talk about something I’ve been messing around with lately – building decks in the Genshin Impact card game. Yeah, that’s right, the TCG inside Genshin. It’s pretty fun, and I’ve been having a blast trying out different combos.

So, first off, I gotta say, I spent hours just collecting cards. I mean, you gotta have the right cards to build a decent deck, right? I went around challenging every NPC I could find, doing those weekly guest challenges, and even buying some from the card shop. It took a while, but I finally got a decent collection going.

Once I had a good pool of cards, I started experimenting. I tried a bunch of different characters together, just to see what worked. At first, I was all over the place. I had some decks that were total flops. Like, I’d get wiped out in a few turns. It was a mess!

But then I started to figure some stuff out. For example, I noticed that having a character who can apply an element consistently is super important. I also learned that you can’t just throw a bunch of high-cost cards together and expect to win. You need a good balance of low-cost and high-cost cards, or you’ll run out of dice way too fast. It’s all about managing your resources, you know?

One of the decks I built that actually worked pretty well was a Vaporize team. If you don’t know how it works, basically, you use a Hydro character to apply the Wet status to an enemy, and then you follow up with a Pyro character to deal a bunch of extra damage. It’s pretty satisfying to pull off.

  • Started with Mona: Her skill is great for applying Hydro to multiple enemies at once. Plus, her fast-charging ability is awesome to help me apply Wet to enemies quickly.
  • Added Bennett: His Burst is just insane for damage and healing. And, you know, Pyro for that sweet Vaporize action.
  • Rounded it out with Xingqiu: I know what you are thinking. Isn’t Mona enough to apply Hydro element? Xingqiu’s Burst not only provides more Hydro application and damage reduction, but he also deals some pretty good damage on his own.

I also played around with a few support cards to keep my characters alive and boost their damage. “Katheryne” is super useful for swapping characters quickly, and “Liben” gives you extra dice, which is always a good thing. And of course, I had a bunch of food cards to heal up and revive my characters. Gotta stay in the fight, right?

After a lot of trial and error, I finally got this deck to a point where I could consistently win against most opponents. It’s not perfect, but it’s a lot of fun to play.

So yeah, that’s my Genshin TCG story so far. It’s been a fun ride, and I’m definitely going to keep building more decks and trying out new strategies. Maybe I’ll share some more of my creations in the future. Who knows? Anyway, if you’re playing the Genshin card game, I hope this was at least a little bit helpful. Keep experimenting, and don’t be afraid to fail a few times. That’s how you learn! And most importantly, have fun!
