genshin impact pop

Alright, alright, let’s talk about this Genshin Impact Pop thing, whatever that is.

My grandson, he’s always yappin’ about this “Genshin” game. Says it’s real popular, like everyone and their dog is playin’ it. He’s always glued to that phone, tappin’ away. Don’t know what the fuss is about, kids these days and their gadgets, always got their noses in somethin’. But he says it’s a big deal, this Genshin thing. Says lots of folks download it, millions and millions, I think he said. Like, more people than live in our whole county, maybe even the whole state! That’s a whole lotta folks if you ask me.

Now, these “Pop” things, he showed me pictures once. Little plastic dolls, I guess. Big heads, funny eyes. He’s got a whole shelf full of ’em, all sorts of characters. Reminds me of them little knick-knacks they used to give out at the fairs when I was a girl, but these are fancier, I reckon.

He says they make these Pop dolls for all sorts of things, not just this Genshin game. Movies, cartoons, other games… Heard tell there’s thousands of ’em, different kinds. More than you can shake a stick at, that’s for sure. Imagine that, thousands of little dolls! What do people do with ’em all? Just sit ’em on a shelf and dust ’em, I guess. Seems like a waste of money to me, but what do I know? Kids like what they like.

  • So, this Genshin, it’s real popular, that’s what I hear.
  • And they make these Pop dolls for it, lots of ’em, seems like.

My grandson, he’s got a couple of these Genshin Pops. Showed ’em to me, all proud. One was a red-haired fella, looked kinda grumpy. My grandson said his name was “Diluc” or somethin’ like that. Fancy name, ain’t it? Probably means somethin’ important in that game world. He had this big sword, looked kinda dangerous. Then there was another one, a girl with cat ears. Now that’s somethin’ you don’t see every day. “Keqing,” he called her. Said she was real powerful. They both looked kinda serious, not much smilin’ goin’ on. Guess that’s how they are in the game, always fightin’ and whatnot. My grandson said there are more, lots more, but he only has these two for now. He’s always sayin’ he wants more, though. Kids these days, always wantin’ more.

I don’t get it, myself. All this fuss over a game and little plastic dolls. But it keeps him happy, I guess. Better than him runnin’ around causin’ trouble, right? He spends hours fiddlin’ with them Pops, posin’ ’em, makin’ ’em “fight” each other. He even built ’em little houses out of cardboard boxes. Kids and their imaginations, I tell ya. He’s got a whole world goin’ on in his room, with these Genshin folks and their Pop selves. It’s kinda cute, in a way. He gets real excited when a new one comes out. Checks the mail every day, hopin’ for a package. And when it finally arrives, you’d think he won the lottery. All that fuss over a little plastic fella.

So, is this Genshin Impact popular? Seems like it, if you ask me. And those Pops, they must be popular too, if they’re makin’ so many of ’em. My grandson sure loves ’em. Maybe there’s somethin’ to it, I dunno. Maybe if I was younger, I’d be into it too. But for now, I’ll just stick to my knittin’ and watchin’ the birds. That’s entertainment enough for this old lady. But hey, if it makes folks happy, who am I to judge? Let ’em have their Genshin and their Pops. Just as long as they don’t expect me to understand it all.

And those Pop figures? Well, seems there’s a bunch of ‘em. More than I can count, that’s for sure. My grandson says they even make special ones you can only get at certain places, or at some big comic book show. Imagine that, travelin’ all over just to get a little plastic doll! People are somethin’ else, I tell ya. But hey, to each their own. If it makes ‘em happy, let ‘em collect their Pops. Me? I’ll stick to collectin’ stamps. At least they don’t take up so much space.

So, there you have it. Genshin Impact is a big deal, and them Pop figures are too. That’s what the young folks are sayin’, and who am I to argue? Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some dinner. All this talk about games and dolls has made me hungry.
