Well, let me tell ya, this here Genshin Impact thing, it’s got all sorts of stuff in it, even things I don’t quite understand. Folks are talkin’ ’bout somethin’ called JOI, and from what I gather, it’s got somethin’ to do with them characters in the game.
Now, I ain’t no spring chicken, and I sure don’t know much about these fancy computer games. But my grandson, he’s always playin’ this Genshin thing, and he told me a little bit about it. Seems like there’s all sorts of characters, like this Lumine girl and this Ganyu character. And folks are makin’ videos, you know, like them little movies, about these characters.
These videos, they call ’em Joi videos. I seen some folks talkin’ ’bout them online, and it sounds like they’re kinda… spicy, if you catch my drift. They say these videos got all sorts of things in ’em, things that make your heart race and your face turn red. I ain’t seen ’em myself, mind you, but from what I hear, they’re not for the faint of heart.
- Some folks say these Joi videos are like them animes, them Japanese cartoons.
- Others say they’re just plain ol’… you know… adult movies.
- And then there’s talk about “quickshots” and “femdom” and “humiliation.” Lord knows what all that means. Sounds kinda wild to me.
Now, my grandson, he says some of these videos got voices, like the characters are talkin’ to you. He calls it “voiced Joi.” I guess it makes it more… real, or somethin’. And they got all sorts of themes, too. Like, one video is called “A Night With Ganyu,” and I bet you can guess what that’s about.
And it ain’t just one or two videos, neither. There’s a whole bunch of ’em! You can find ’em all over the internet, if you know where to look. They say you can watch ’em for free, but I ain’t gonna tell you where to find ’em. You gotta figure that out for yourself.
Genshin Impact, it’s a whole world, I tell ya. And it seems like there’s somethin’ for everyone, even old ladies like me who don’t know a joystick from a chicken leg. But these Joi videos, they’re somethin’ else entirely. They’re… well, they’re just somethin’ you gotta see to believe, I guess. But be warned, they ain’t for the innocent eyes.
And speaking of characters, folks are always gossiping about who’s paired up with who. They call ’em “ships,” like they’re puttin’ the characters on a boat together. My grandson says there ain’t no official couples in the game, but that don’t stop people from makin’ up their own. They talk about Ganqing and Yae and Ei and all sorts of other names I can’t even pronounce. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss over nothin’ to me, but hey, folks will be folks, I guess.
And you know, they even got characters that are… well, they like the same kind of folks. My grandson says it’s called “LGBT,” or somethin’ like that. He says there’s a lot of characters that are hinted to be that way, like Beiguang and Eulamber and Eimiko. It’s all a bit confusing to me, but I guess it’s just the way things are these days. Love is love, ain’t that what they say?
Anyways, back to this Joi thing. It seems like folks are makin’ all sorts of videos, some with voices, some without, some with different themes and characters. It’s a whole world of its own, inside this Genshin Impact world. And while I may not understand it all, I can tell you one thing: it sure is popular. Folks are watchin’ these videos left and right, and they’re talkin’ about ’em all over the internet. So, if you’re curious, you can go ahead and take a look, but don’t say I didn’t warn ya!
