Okay, so I stumbled upon this thing called a “Genshin Impact Character Sorter” the other day, and let me tell you, it was quite the experience. I’m a big fan of Genshin Impact, and I always have trouble deciding which characters I like best. There are just so many of them, and they’re all so unique in their own way, right?
So, I found this sorter online, and it’s pretty simple. You basically choose your favorite characters from the game. You can pick from different versions of the game, too. I started with just the basic, you know, the characters that have already made a significance appearance in-game and lore-wise, as it says. Then I hit the “Start” button, and the magic began.
The sorter shows you two characters at a time, and you just click on the one you like better. Easy peasy. Sometimes it was a no-brainer, like when it showed me Zhongli and another character, I immediately clicked on Zhongli. But other times, it was tough!

I went through a bunch of rounds, clicking away, my heart torn between my beloved characters. It felt like a real battle in my head. Some options had these little details you could hover over to read, which was kind of cool. It helped remind me why I liked certain characters, I guess.
After a while, the sorter started to, like, learn my preferences. It began showing me characters that I consistently picked over others. It felt pretty smart, to be honest. Eventually, it gave me a full ranking of all the characters based on my choices.
My Final Genshin Impact Character Ranking
I saw a clear list of my favorites, from top to bottom. I learned who is my favorite, and which characters are really not my taste. And boy, was I surprised by some of the results! I didn’t realize I liked some characters so much, and others, well, let’s just say they didn’t make it to the top of my list. I also tried a “Genshin Impact Character Constellation” ranking. You can drag the images into the order you would like, and edit the label text. It was also fun. The author also says he or she was able to update the sorter recently. So, it might have more characters now. I’ll go check again later.
It was a fun little experiment, and it definitely gave me a new perspective on my Genshin Impact preferences. If you’re a fan of the game and you’re as indecisive as I am, you should definitely give this sorter a try. You might be surprised by what you discover about yourself!
