genshin impact botting
Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this idea of making a bot for Genshin Impact. It’s a pretty popular game, you know? And like any popular game, people are always looking for ways to, well, get ahead. So I thought, why not dive in and see what this whole botting thing is all about?
I started by just poking around online, checking out forums and stuff. Turns out, there’s a whole bunch of people talking about “hacks” and “cheats” for Genshin. Some of it seemed pretty sketchy, like messing with the game files directly, which I definitely wasn’t going to do. I mean, that’s just asking for trouble, right? Plus, it’s against the rules, and I’m not about breaking those.
But then I stumbled upon some discussions about automation, which sounded way more interesting. The idea was to create a bot that could do some of the more tedious tasks in the game, like maybe farming for resources. There’s this thing called Starconch in Liyue, and you can either buy it or farm it on the beaches. Farming is a pain, so automating that seemed like a good place to start.
I started playing around with some basic scripting. I’m no expert, but I know enough to be dangerous. I figured I could write a simple script that would move my character along the beach, interact with the Starconch when it’s nearby, and then move on. It was a bit clunky at first. I had to figure out how to get the script to recognize when a Starconch was within range. It involved some pixel detection, which took a while to get right. The character would run past the Starconch, or try to interact with rocks instead. It was a mess, honestly.
But I kept at it, tweaking the code, running tests, failing, and trying again. Eventually, I had something that worked… sort of. It wasn’t perfect, but it could farm Starconch without me having to sit there and click the mouse a million times. It felt like a huge win, even though it was a pretty basic bot.

This whole thing got me thinking about the bigger picture, though. I saw some mentions online about people getting flagged or banned for using bots. The game has an anti-cheat system, and I’m sure they’re always working to improve it. So, while it’s cool to see what’s possible, I’m definitely not going to use this bot in a way that could get me in trouble. It was more of a learning experience, you know? A way to see how these things work and what the limits are.
And let’s be real, playing the game the way it’s meant to be played is way more fun. Exploring the world, meeting new characters, and experiencing the story – that’s what makes Genshin Impact great. But yeah, it was a fun little project to mess around with, and I learned a lot in the process. Who knows, maybe I’ll try to automate something else in the future, just for the heck of it.
