Alright, so I wanted to play Genshin Impact on my Android phone, but touching the screen is just… nah. I gotta have a controller, you know? So, I started messing around to see if I could get it to work. Turns out, it ain’t as straightforward as you’d think.

- First Try: I mapped the jump button to ‘A’, attack to ‘X’, and… messed up the movement stick. My character just kept running in circles. Hilarious, but not helpful.
- Second Try: Got the movement stick working, but then the camera went crazy. It was like being on a rollercoaster while trying to fight. Nope.
- Third Try: I think the mapping is ready.
Finally, Some Progress!
I was playing Genshin with a controller! Not perfect, mind you. Some of the button mappings still felt a little wonky, and I had to adjust the sensitivity a few times. But, hey, it was a huge improvement over touch controls. I could actually dodge attacks and pull off combos without my fingers cramping up.

So, can you play Genshin Impact on Android with a controller? Yes, but be ready for a bit work. It’s not plug-and-play, but if you’re willing to wrestle with a keymapper, you can totally make it happen. It’s worth it, I promise!
