genshin impact 4.0 tier list

Alright, so I’ve been diving deep into Genshin Impact 4.0, and like everyone else, I wanted to get a handle on the new characters and where everyone stands. So, I started to put together my own tier list. Let me walk you through what I did.

First Steps: Gathering Info

First things first, I jumped into the game. I mean, you gotta play to really know, right? I spent a good chunk of time trying out the new characters, Lyney and Lynette, and seeing how they felt in combat. I also made sure I was up-to-date on all the latest character updates and changes.

Then, I hit up the usual spots online – you know, community forums, discussion boards, and some of those Genshin content creator videos. I wanted to see what other players were saying, what their early impressions were, and if I was missing anything obvious.

Building the Framework

Next, I started organizing my thoughts. I decided to keep it pretty simple: I went with the classic S, A, B, C, D tier system. I figure, most people get that, and it’s easy to understand.

  • S-Tier: These are the characters I found to be totally busted, like, they just crush everything.
  • A-Tier: Really strong, reliable characters. You can’t go wrong with them.
  • B-Tier: These are solid, good in certain situations, but maybe not always the best choice.
  • C-Tier: They’re okay, they work, but you probably have better options.
  • D-Tier: Honestly, I usually find a use for everyone, but these are the ones I struggle to fit into a team.

Character Evaluations – The Nitty Gritty

This is where I spent the most time. I went through each character, one by one, and thought about a few key things:

  • How easy are they to use?
  • How much damage can they do?
  • Do they work well with other characters? (team synergy)
  • How versatile are they? Can they handle different types of enemies and situations?
  • What constellations did I have access to?

I played around with different team comps, tried out various artifact sets, and just generally experimented to see what worked and what didn’t. It was a lot of trial and error, let me tell you!

Putting It All Together

After all that testing and note-taking, I finally started placing characters into their tiers. It wasn’t always easy, and I definitely moved some characters around a few times as I got more familiar with them. Sometimes I’d think a character was “B-Tier” at first, but then after using them more, I’d realize they were actually “A-Tier” material.

It’s all feel, you know? There is not a absolutely right or wrong answer.

The Never-Ending Process

And that’s pretty much it! Of course, a tier list is never really finished. The meta changes, new characters come out, and I keep learning new things. So, it’s something I’m constantly updating and tweaking. I’ll probably revisit this in a few weeks and see if my opinions have changed. Always happy to discuss and get other perspectives, too!
