game review mad max

Well now, let me tell ya somethin’ about this here “Mad Max” game, like my young’uns told me. They say it’s somethin’ fierce, this here game, set in a big ol’ desert, kinda like them places out west where nothin’ but sand and rocks grow.

Story? What Story?

Now, I ain’t one for fancy stories, but they tell me this Max fella, he’s got his car stolen and he’s gotta go get it back. Sounds like a heap of trouble to me, all that fuss over a car. But these young’uns, they say it ain’t just any car, it’s his “Interceptor,” somethin’ special I reckon. And there’s this fella, Scabrous Scrotus, sounds like a dirty name if ya ask me, and he’s the one causin’ all the ruckus. Max, he’s gotta deal with this Scrotus and a whole bunch of other crazy folks in the wasteland.

  • Max’s car got stoled.
  • He gotta fight a fella named Scabrous Scrotus.
  • Lots of bad guys in the desert.

Gameplay, Whatever That Means

From what I gather, this game is all about drivin’ and fightin’. Max, he drives around in his car, which he gets fixed up and made stronger, and he smashes into other cars. Sounds like a demolition derby to me, those things they used to have down at the fairgrounds. And when he ain’t drivin’, he’s beatin’ folks up, usin’ his fists and whatever he can find. They tell me there’s this “Magnum Opus” car, that’s Max’s special ride, and you get to make it all tough and mean-lookin’. Gotta collect scrap and stuff to do it though, sounds like a chore if you ask me.

This Here Wasteland

The world in this game, it’s a wasteland, they say. Nothin’ but sand and rocks and rusty old things. But there’s different places, like strongholds and camps, where people live. And they’re always fightin’ over stuff, like gasoline and water, things you need to survive out there. Seems to me like folks should just get along, but I guess that ain’t how it works in this Mad Max world. You gotta be tough to survive, that’s for sure.

Fighting and Such

The fightin’ in this game, it looks rough. Max, he punches and kicks and uses weapons, whatever he can get his hands on. And the cars, they got weapons too, spikes and flamethrowers and whatnot. It’s all a big ol’ mess of smashin’ and crashin’. Reminds me of that time ol’ Billy got mad at the fence post and took a sledgehammer to it. Just pure anger and destruction.

How Long’s it Take?

Now, them young’uns told me that if you just stick to the main stuff, this here game takes about 20 hours to finish. That’s a long time to be sittin’ around playin’ a game, if you ask me. But they say you can do other things too, side quests they call ’em, and that makes it even longer. I reckon you could spend a whole heap of time on this Mad Max if you wanted to.

Is it Any Good?

Well, I ain’t played it myself, but from what I hear, it’s a pretty good game if you like smashin’ cars and beatin’ folks up. The young’uns, they seem to like it alright. They say it’s fun to drive around the wasteland and cause chaos. And they like makin’ their car all strong and mean. If that sounds like your kind of thing, then you might enjoy this here Mad Max game.

The End of the Line, They Say

Now listen here, they also told me somethin’ about the game servers shuttin’ down. Somethin’ about no more online stuff after October 31st, 2020. So, if you’re thinkin’ about playin’ online, you missed the boat, I reckon. But if you just want to play by yourself, then it don’t matter none.

My Two Cents

Honestly, it all sounds like a lot of noise and commotion to me. But these young’uns, they enjoy it, so I guess there must be somethin’ to it. If you like action and adventure and don’t mind a bit of violence, then give this Mad Max a try. Just don’t come cryin’ to me if you get all riled up from playin’ it too much.

One Last Thing

They updated this game back in 2017, or so they told me. Guess they keep tinkerin’ with these things like they do with them fancy cars.
