So, I was digging around the internet, trying to figure out how to rate my gaming rig. You know, see if it’s up to snuff for the latest games. I stumbled upon this site called Game Debate. They have this thing where you can check your PC’s specs against a game’s requirements, and it gives you a hardware rating.

Finding my components

First things first, I needed to find out exactly what was inside my machine. I don’t have the box anymore, so I didn’t know all the details off the top of my head. I opened up the computer case, and yeah, I definitely needed a flashlight to see in there. Dust bunnies everywhere, too!

• CPU: I found the CPU, it’s an Intel Core i7. I had to remove the fan to see it clearly. A little dusty, but I managed to get the model number.
• GPU: The graphics card was easier to spot. It’s an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070. I got a new one, It looked pretty powerful.
• RAM: I also found the RAM sticks. There are two of them, 16GB each. 32GB in total, thank goodness.

Putting in the details

Next, I went to the Game Debate website. They have this section where you can input your hardware details.

• Entering CPU: I typed in my CPU model, and it showed up in their database. Good start.
• Entering GPU: I selected my graphics card from the list. It was there, thankfully.
• Entering RAM: I also put in my RAM amount. It was pretty straightforward.

Getting the rating

After I entered all my hardware, I clicked the “check” button, not gonna lie, I was a little nervous. Then the results popped up. It gave me a rating for each component and an overall system rating. My CPU and GPU got pretty high scores, but my RAM was a bit lower. Overall, though, my system got a good rating. It said it could handle most modern games at high settings.

Final thoughts

Honestly, this whole process was pretty cool. It was kind of fun figuring out my computer’s specs. And it’s good to know that my PC is still a beast. I guess I don’t have to worry about upgrading just yet. Phew, that saved me some money! I can keep playing all my favorite games without any issues.
