eb games hardware
So, I’ve been messing around with EB Games’ hardware lately, and let me tell you, it’s been a journey. I’ve always been into gaming, but this was a whole new level of diving deep.
It all started when I decided I needed to upgrade my setup. I was rocking an old console, and it was time for something new. I heard a lot about EB Games, you know, as one of the big names in video games here in Australia, so I thought, “Why not check them out?” They’ve been around for like 25 years, so they must know their stuff, right?
First thing I did was hop onto their website. They’ve got everything there – Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo, even those Steam codes and gift cards. I was mainly looking for a new console, and they have a pretty decent range. I spent a good few hours just browsing, comparing specs, prices, the whole nine yards. They also sell those digital codes. You know the Steam codes, Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store Gift Cards and other things, I got one for a friend, but I am still thinking about the console.
Then, I decided to hit up a physical store. I mean, they have over 400 stores across Australia, so there was bound to be one near me. Walking in, it was like a gamer’s paradise. Rows and rows of games, consoles, accessories, you name it. I went straight for the console section, and there they were, all shiny and new. I’m not gonna lie; I felt like a kid in a candy store.
- Talking to the Staff: The staff there were super helpful. I had a ton of questions about the different consoles, and they answered them all. They really knew their stuff. We talked about which console would be best for me, considering the games I like to play and all that. And they even told me EB Games was acquired by GameStop back in 2005, which explains why they’re such a big deal globally.
- Checking Out the Hardware: I got to try out some of the consoles, which was awesome. Seeing them on display is one thing, but actually getting your hands on them is another. I played around with the controllers, checked out the graphics, and just got a feel for each console.
- Making the Purchase: After much deliberation, I finally decided on a console. I also grabbed a few accessories while I was at it. The checkout process was smooth, no hassles there. They even have this option to buy used software, which is pretty cool if you’re on a budget.
Then I got the console I purchased and some used software back home, it was time to set everything up. Unboxing the console was exciting, like Christmas morning. Getting it all connected and ready to go was a breeze. I spent the rest of the day just playing, getting used to the new system.

But it didn’t stop there. I also wanted to get into their online system. Setting up an account on their website was straightforward. Once I was in, I could browse their online store, check out deals, and even manage my purchases. I did learn that if I ever wanted to delete my account, I’d have to contact their customer support team, which is good to know.
So, that’s been my experience with EB Games’ hardware. From browsing online to going into the store, trying out consoles, and finally setting up my new system at home, it’s been quite the adventure. They really do live up to their reputation as a top destination for gamers. If you’re looking to upgrade your gaming setup, I’d definitely recommend checking them out. You might just find exactly what you’re looking for, just like I did.
And hey, if you ever see me online, don’t hesitate to send an invite. Always looking for new gaming buddies!
