Oh, this here computer, it’s a real pain in my neck sometimes. You young’uns with your fancy games and whatnot. My grandson, bless his heart, he tried to show me this World of Warcraft thing. Said something about “yellow triangles.” Said if there are yellow triangles, then something’s wrong. You don’t want those yellow triangles in the device manager, no sir! You want it all working proper, to avoid that game crash.

He was messing around with something called “refreshrate” too, on the mouse. Said the lower it is, the less likely the game is to crash. He said to put it around 150 or something like that. He also mentioned something about “Shadowplay” for WoW. Said to turn that off too. I don’t know. Sounds like a whole lot of gibberish to me. But he seems to think it helps with this whole World of Warcraft game crash problem. And the mouse cursor, too. He was also talking about some “alt-tab” thing. Said if you “alt-tab” out of the game and move the mouse to the edge, sometimes it messes up. Kids these days and their computer lingo!

Then there’s this other thing he was saying, about the mouse sticking to the screen. Like it’s glued there or something. He said it’s like some “auto-aim” thing. I don’t know what that is, but it sure sounds annoying. He showed me a video of it happening. The mouse, it just wouldn’t move right. Kept getting stuck. He was clicking and clicking, but it wouldn’t budge. Then, bam! The whole game crashes.

Sometimes, he says, the game just minimizes. Just goes away. And then, after a few times, the mouse cursor disappears. Poof! Gone! He says the only thing he can do then is to restart the game. Restart the whole darn thing. What a mess. He says it’s some kind of mouse issues. Mouse stops working, he says. I think the mouse has a mind of its own!

And get this, sometimes when he clicks in the game, the mouse goes all wonky. He clicks, and it doesn’t do what it’s supposed to. He says it’s like the mouse is dirty or something. Said something about the “optical” part being blocked or it’s on a bad surface. I told him to just clean the darn thing! And get a proper mousepad. These kids, they don’t think about these things.
