deadpool video game review
Alright, alright, let’s talk about this Deadpool video game, ya hear? I ain’t no fancy game reviewer or nothin’, just tellin’ ya like it is. This game, it’s about that fella, Deadpool, the one who talks a whole dang lot, always crackin’ jokes. He’s got swords and guns and he goes around… well, he goes around killin’ folks, that’s what he does.
Now, this game ain’t new, came out a while back, somethin’ like 2013, I think. People, they seemed to like it alright, especially if they like that Deadpool fella from the comic books. It’s what they call a “hack-and-slash” game, which means you’re mostly just whacking and shootin’ at things. And let me tell ya, there’s a whole lotta whacking and shootin’ in this game. You’re runnin’ around, jumpin’ on stuff, and shootin’ bad guys. It’s kinda like those old action movies, ya know, where the hero just blasts everything that moves.
- Lots of shootin’
- Lots of whacking with swords
- Jumpin’ around like a crazy frog
The story? Well, it’s somethin’ about Deadpool gettin’ a contract to kill some rich guy. But honestly, the story ain’t the main thing here. It’s all about Deadpool and his goofy jokes. He’s always talkin’, makin’ fun of himself, makin’ fun of the game, makin’ fun of you, the player! It’s kinda funny, I guess, if you like that kinda humor. Some of them jokes, they’re a bit… well, they’re a bit much, if ya know what I mean. Not for the faint of heart, that’s for sure.
Now, the game itself, it ain’t the prettiest thing I ever did see. Looks kinda… average, ya know? Like those pictures they take at the Sears portrait studio, nothin’ fancy. And the camera, oh lordy, that camera! It’s all over the place, sometimes you can’t even see what you’re doin’. It’s like tryin’ to watch a TV show with a fly buzzin’ around your head the whole time. It gets real annoying, real fast.
And the gameplay, well, it’s kinda repetitive. You do the same things over and over again. Kill some guys, jump over somethin’, kill some more guys, listen to Deadpool yap, repeat. It ain’t exactly rocket science. But, I gotta say, it can be kinda fun, in a mindless sorta way. You know, like eatin’ a whole bag of chips even though you know you shouldn’t. It ain’t good for ya, but you just keep doin’ it anyway.

They say it takes about seven hours to finish the game if you just do the main stuff. But if you’re one of them folks who likes to see everything, well, it’ll take ya longer. Me? I ain’t got time for all that. Seven hours is plenty for me. I got things to do, ya know? Got laundry to fold, gotta make dinner, gotta yell at them darn kids next door to get off my lawn.
Now, here’s the kicker. You can’t just go out and buy this game anymore, not easily anyway. Seems like the company that made it, they lost the rights to it or somethin’. So they stopped sellin’ it. It’s like they made a batch of them good ol’ cookies, and then they just decided to close down the bakery. Makes no sense to me. You can probably find it used somewhere, or maybe online, if you really want it. But it ain’t on them regular store shelves no more, not like them PlayStation 4 games they sell down at the store, next to the OXXO, ya know?
So, is this Deadpool game any good? Well, it depends on what you’re lookin’ for. If you like that Deadpool fella, and you like mindless action, and you don’t mind a wonky camera and repetitive gameplay, then yeah, you might like it. It ain’t a masterpiece, but it ain’t garbage neither. It’s just… okay. Kinda like that casserole you made last week, it filled ya up, but you ain’t gonna be braggin’ about it to the neighbors.
But be warned, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ deep and meaningful, somethin’ with fancy graphics and a smooth camera, well, you best look elsewhere. This ain’t that kinda game. This is a game for when you just wanna turn off your brain and whack some bad guys. And listen to a whole lotta jokes, some good, some bad, some just plain weird. That’s the long and short of it, ya hear?
