If the lag is bad enough, the game server might just kick you out. Like, you’re standin’ there, doin’ nothin’, so they figure you ain’t playin’. Happens with a slow internet connection, or if the connection is just plain bad quality.

And sometimes, it’s those firewalls and routers again. They got these things called “ports” that the games need to use. Think of ‘em like doors. If the doors are blocked, the game can’t get through. So you might need to go into the settings and open them doors. But that’s tricky business, and if you don’t know what you’re doin’, you can mess things up even worse. Best to get someone who knows computers to help with that.

So, if you’re gettin’ disconnected from your games, and it ain’t the internet itself, it could be somethin’ wrong with your computer hardware.
