blank slate game review

So, I got this game called “Blank Slate” the other day, and I figured, why not share my experience with y’all? I had seen this game pop up a few times, and the concept seemed pretty fun. Let me tell you, it was a blast!

Getting Started

First off, I grabbed the game online. It was easy to find, and I didn’t even have to leave my house. Bonus points for convenience!

Once the game arrived, I opened it up and started looking through the contents. It comes with a bunch of cards, each with a word on it. You also get these little slates to write on and some dry-erase markers. It’s a pretty simple setup, which is great.

Playing the Game

I got a couple of friends together to play. We decided to keep it to four players, though you can play with just two. The basic idea is that you flip over a card, and everyone has to write down a word that completes the phrase on the card. For example, if the card says “mountain ____,” you might write “top” or “climb” or something like that.

• The real goal is to match your answer with someone else’s.
• If you match with just one other person, you get three points.
• If you match with more than one person, you get one point.
• And if nobody matches your word, you get zero points.

We started playing, and it was hilarious. Trying to guess what other people would write is way harder than it sounds. We had some really funny moments where our answers were totally off base, and some other times when we were perfectly in sync. It was a good mix of laughs and strategy.

Kept on Playing

The game says it takes about 30 minutes to play, but we were having so much fun that we played for almost an hour. We just kept going round after round, trying to outsmart each other. It’s the kind of game where you can easily lose track of time because you’re so engaged.

At the end of the game, we tallied up our scores. It was pretty close, but I managed to sneak out a win. Bragging rights secured! We all agreed that it was a great game, and we’re definitely going to play it again soon.
