Alright, let’s gab about these here “best turn based strategy game PC” thingamajigs. Folks keep yammerin’ about ‘em, so I figured, why not throw my two cents in? Don’t expect no fancy talk, though. I’m just gonna tell it like it is, plain and simple.

Now, first off, what in tarnation is a “turn based strategy game” anyway? Sounds like a mouthful to me. But from what I gather, it’s them games where you gotta think real hard, like chewin’ on a tough piece of jerky. You take your turn, then the computer takes its turn, or maybe some other fella online. And you gotta plan things out, like plantin’ crops or figurin’ out where to put your fence posts, else you’ll end up with a mess, just like my prize-winning pumpkin patch last year when them darned rabbits got in.

So, what are the good ones? Well, that depends on who you ask, I reckon. But I’ve heard some names tossed around. One they call “Persona 4 Golden.” Now, I ain’t played it myself, but the youngsters seem to like it. They say it’s one of them Japanese doohickeys, all fancy and colorful. Supposedly, you gotta make friends and fight monsters, all while managin’ your time. Sounds like a busy day on the farm to me, but with more magic and less manure.

• Persona 4 Golden: Like I said, the young’uns rave about it. Something about buildin’ relationships and battlin’ shadows. Sounds a bit spooky if you ask me.
• Civilization 6: Now this one, I understand a little better. It’s like buildin’ your own little town, then makin’ it a big city, then takin’ over the whole dang world! You gotta manage your resources, like wood and rocks and such, and make sure your folks are happy. And you gotta deal with them other fellas too, sometimes tradin’ with ‘em, sometimes fightin’ with ‘em. Reminds me of the time ol’ Mr. Henderson tried to build his fence on my property line. Let me tell you, that wasn’t pretty. They say this Civilization 6 has somethin’ called “districts.” Sounds fancy, but I bet it just means you gotta plan where to put your blacksmith and your granary, which is common sense if you ask me. You can’t just put your pigpen next to the well, can ya?
• XCOM 2: Now, this here is about fightin’ aliens. Yep, little green men from outer space, or maybe not so little and not so green, I ain’t seen ‘em myself. You gotta command a squad of soldiers, and you gotta be smart about it. You can’t just go chargin’ in, guns blazin’. You gotta use cover, and you gotta flank them aliens, just like huntin’ rabbits in the tall grass. This one seems awful stressful to me. Too much shootin’ and not enough sittin’ on the porch sippin’ lemonade.

There’s a whole heap of other ones too, they say. Some about fantasy and magic, with elves and dwarves and such. Reminds me of them fairy tales my grandma used to tell me. And some about war, with tanks and planes and such. Reminds me of… well, I ain’t gonna talk about that. Too much sadness in them memories.

But what makes a strategy game good, you ask? Well, for me, it’s gotta be somethin’ that makes you think. You gotta plan ahead, and you gotta be able to adjust your plans when things go south, just like when a storm comes and you gotta bring the cows in before they get spooked.

It’s also gotta be fair. You don’t want no game that cheats you, like when that sneaky salesman sold me that “miracle fertilizer” that didn’t do nothin’ but make the weeds grow taller. And it’s gotta be fun, of course. If it ain’t fun, what’s the point? Might as well go shell peas or somethin’.

So, there you have it. My take on these “best turn based strategy game PC” things. Like I said, I ain’t no expert. I’m just an old woman who likes a good puzzle, whether it’s figurin’ out how to fix a leaky faucet or how to keep them darned squirrels out of the bird feeder. But if you ask me, the best strategy game is the one that keeps you entertained and makes you feel like you’ve accomplished somethin’, just like a good day’s work on the farm.

And remember, don’t go spendin’ all your time starin’ at that computer screen. Get outside, get some fresh air, and talk to folks face-to-face every now and then. That’s the best strategy for a happy life, if you ask me.

One more thing, if you are lookin’ for a good game, don’t be afraid to try a few different ones out. What one person likes, another might not. It’s like pickin’ out a good watermelon. You gotta thump a few before you find the one that’s just right.

And lastly, don’t go spendin’ all your money on these games. They can be mighty expensive, them fancy computer things. Save some of that money for a rainy day, or maybe buy yourself a nice rocking chair so you can sit on the porch and watch the world go by. That’s what I do, and I reckon it’s a pretty good strategy for a peaceful life.
