best strategy games on ds

Alright, listen up, y’all. We’re gonna talk about them best strategy games on the DS, you know, that little Nintendo thingamajig. I ain’t no fancy gamer girl, but I know what’s fun and what ain’t, ya hear?

So, first off, there’s this Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Now, I ain’t sure when it came out, sometime in 2005 I reckon. Folks seem to like it a lot, voted it up and all. It’s about war, I guess. You move your little army guys around and try to beat the other fellas. Sounds simple enough, even for an old gal like me.

Then there’s this Ys Strategy DS. Fancy name, huh? Came out in 2006, I think. Over in Japan first, then them folks in the UK and Europe got it. I ain’t played it, but it’s got “strategy” in the name, so it must belong here, right? Heard it’s a bit different, maybe with magic and monsters, not just plain old soldiers.

Now, don’t go thinkin’ the DS is just for kids. That little thing’s got some serious games, even them grand strategy ones. You know, the kind where you gotta think real hard and plan everything out. Like, where to build your stuff, who to fight, and all that jazz. They say there’s at least seven good ones, but I can’t remember ’em all. My memory ain’t what it used to be, you know.

And speaking of strategy, you can’t forget about Civilization. They got a bunch of them, but folks like Civilization 6 the best now. It’s got some expansions too, whatever that means. They changed things up, made it so you gotta spread your cities out more. Sounds complicated, but I bet it’s fun once you get the hang of it. Building empires and all that, it’s like being a queen, but without all the fancy dresses and crown-wearing.

Now, why ain’t they makin’ DS games no more? Well, they made so many of them darn things, everyone and their dog already had one. You can get a used DS real cheap now, cheaper than some of the games, can you believe it? And I guess it got old, the technology I mean. Things move so fast these days, always somethin’ new comin’ out.

  • Important thing to remember, if you got games on that old DS, don’t expect ’em to work on that new Switch thing. They ain’t compatible, whatever that means. Nintendo wants you to buy new games, I reckon. Smart fellas, them Nintendo folks.
  • And don’t go lookin’ for no new DS games neither. They stopped makin’ ’em a while back. The last one was somethin’ about Big Hero 6, back in 2014 I think. So, if you want new games, you gotta get a new machine. That’s just how it is.

So, there you have it. A few of them best strategy games on the DS. I ain’t no expert, but I hope I helped you out. Now go on, find yourself a DS and have some fun. And don’t forget to eat your vegetables, ya hear?

Just a reminder: I ain’t played all these games myself, but I heard good things. And if you’re lookin’ for more, there’s plenty of lists online, made by folks who know a whole lot more than me. But these ones I mentioned, they seem to be the real popular ones, the ones folks talk about the most.

So whether you like war games, fantasy games, or building empires, the DS had something for everyone. It was a good little machine, that’s for sure. And even though it’s old now, it’s still got plenty of fun to offer. So don’t go throwin’ it away just yet.

And that’s all I got to say about that. Now if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about games has made me hungry.
