best strategy games in android

Alright, listen up, y’all. Gonna tell ya ’bout them strategy games on your phone, the ones they call “Android.” My grandkid’s always fiddlin’ with that thing, so I seen a thing or two.

Now, what’s a strategy game, you ask? Well, it’s like plannin’ a big ol’ family dinner, but ‘stead of potatoes and gravy, you’re movin’ armies and buildin’ stuff. Gotta think ahead, see? Can’t just go willy-nilly.

Some Good Ones, They Say

Folks keep jabberin’ ’bout this “XCOM: Enemy Within.” Sounds fancy, huh? Aliens and fightin’ and whatnot. My grandkid says it’s tough, gotta really use your noggin. He’s always yellin’ at that phone when he’s playing it.

Then there’s this “Battle of Polytopia.” That one looks kinda cute, with little blocky people. But don’t let that fool ya, it’s still about thinkin’ and plannin’. Gotta build up your town and fight off them other blocky folks.

And wouldn’t you know it, there’s a game all about balloons! “Bloons TD 6” they call it. You gotta set up monkeys and towers to pop them balloons. Sounds silly, but them young’uns love it. And they keep playin it so it must be good or somethin’.

Lots More Where Them Came From

Now, they got all sorts of strategy games. Some are like them old war movies, with soldiers and tanks. “ROME: Total War” and “Rusted Warfare,” that’s what they call ’em. Big battles and lots of stuff to manage. Too much for my old brain, I tell ya.

  • Then you got these games where you build stuff, like “Northgard.” Vikings and longboats and all that. Gotta keep your people fed and happy, or they’ll up and leave ya.

  • And some are like chess, but way more complicated. “Auto Chess” is one, and “Tyrant’s Blessing” is another. Gotta move your pieces around and outsmart your opponent.

  • There’s even one in space! “Crying Suns” and “Rebel Inc.” Blastin’ around in spaceships and fightin’ aliens or rebellions, whatever they are. Kids these days, always dreamin’ of goin’ to the moon.

Big Names, Big Games

And if you’re lookin’ for the real fancy stuff, they got games like “Crusader Kings III” and “Civilization VI.” Kings and empires and buildin’ a whole darn civilization from scratch. My grandkid says those take forever to play. He’s always holed up in his room with that phone.

Why Play These Things Anyways?

Now, I don’t get it myself, all this starin’ at a little screen. But them young’uns say it helps ’em think, makes ’em plan better. And it keeps ’em outta trouble, mostly. ‘Cept when they start yellin’ at the phone when they lose, then I gotta go in there and tell ’em to hush up.

So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to keep your brain busy, or you just wanna boss around some little digital people, try out one of them strategy games. Just don’t blame me if you get hooked. And don’t forget to eat your dinner! These kids, they forget everything when they get their hands on that phone.

Which One Should You Pick?

Well, that’s up to you, ain’t it? If you like aliens, go for that XCOM one. If you like cute little blocky people, try Polytopia. And if you like monkeys poppin’ balloons, well, you know what to do. Just don’t spend all day on that phone, ya hear? Go outside and get some fresh air once in a while.
