banners genshin impact
Alright, let’s talk about them banner thingies in that Genshin game. My grandson, he’s always yappin’ about it. Genshin Impact, he calls it. Says there’s always new characters and stuff comin’ out.
So, what I gather, these banners, they’re like… well, like when the traveling salesman comes to town, but instead of pots and pans, he’s got these fancy cartoon people you can get. And they ain’t cheap neither, from what I hear. My grandson, he’s always beggin’ me for a few dollars for ‘em.
Current Banners and Whatnot
Now, the latest buzz is about this Chasca girl. A five-star, they say. Means she’s real good, I guess. She’s got a bow and arrow, an’ they call her an Anemo archer. Don’t ask me what that means, sounds fancy though. She’s on somethin’ called the “Piercing Shot’s Crimson Wake Banner”. Sounds dangerous, like somethin’ you’d see on them TV shows.
- Five-Star Characters: Chasca (that new girl) and Lyney (he’s been around before, a rerun, they call it).
- Four-Star Characters on Chasca’s Banner: Barbara (she uses water, I think), Ororon (lightning powers, maybe?), and some others I can’t remember. They change ‘em up all the time, it’s hard to keep track.
These banners, they stick around for about three weeks. Then, poof, they’re gone, and new ones show up. It’s like the seasons, always changin’. Sometimes, they even got two or three banners goin’ at the same time. More chances to spend your money, I reckon.

Genshin Impact 3.7 and Beyond
My grandson was tellin’ me about this Kirara character. She was on some banners a while back, with Yoimiya and Yae Miko. Now, they put her in the “Standard Banner”, whatever that is. Guess she’s not so special anymore, like an old dress you put in the back of the closet.
And then there’s this Shinobu girl. They say she’s good at healin’, but not for the whole team, just one at a time, I think. My grandson uses her with some other characters, Alhaitham and Xingqiu and Nahida, to fight in somethin’ called the “Spiral Abyss”. Sounds scary. She was around last December, apparently.
What’s the Big Deal with These Banners Anyway?
Well, from what I can tell, these banners are how you get the best fighters in the game. You gotta spend these… primogems, I think they’re called, to “wish” on the banners. It’s like a lottery, you ain’t always gonna get what you want. My grandson, he gets real upset sometimes when he don’t get the character he wants. I tell him, it’s just a game, but he don’t listen.
Version 5.2 and the Future
Now they’re talkin’ about version 5.2. Chasca’s still around, and Lyney’s back again too. And this Ororon character is new, they say. It’s always somethin’ new, always somethin’ to spend your money on. It’s enough to make your head spin.
So, that’s the gist of it, as far as I understand. These banners come and go, with new characters and old ones comin’ back. You spend your money, you take your chances, and hopefully you get the characters you want. It’s all a bit confusing to an old lady like me, but the young folks seem to love it.

My Two Cents
Honestly, I don’t get it. Seems like a waste of money to me. But then again, I’m just an old woman who prefers a good cup of tea and a chat with my neighbors over these fancy video games. But if it makes the young’uns happy, I guess it can’t be all bad. Just wish they wouldn’t spend all their hard-earned money on it! And my grandson, well, I just hope he learns the value of a dollar one of these days. Maybe I should hide my purse better…
Anyway, that’s all I know about these Genshin Impact banners. Hope it makes some sense to you. It sure don’t make much sense to me!
