android strategy games

Alright, let’s talk about them Android strategy games, you know, the ones them young’uns are always playin’ on their phones.

I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I seen enough folks fiddlin’ with them gadgets to know a thing or two. First off, what in tarnation is a “strategy game” anyway? Well, from what I gather, it’s like, you gotta think. You ain’t just tappin’ the screen like a woodpecker. You gotta plan, like plantin’ corn but, you know, with little soldiers or spaceships or whatever.

Now, I heard tell of some popular ones. There’s this “Battle of Polytopia,” sounds fancy, huh? Folks say it’s like them old board games, but on your phone. You build a little kingdom, fight off other folks, kinda like how we used to scrap over water rights back in the day, only nobody gets hurt this time. Just little pixel fellas gettin’ whacked.

Then there’s this “Bloons TD 6.” Don’t ask me what TD stands for, probably some newfangled city talk. Anyways, you got these monkeys, and they gotta pop balloons. Sounds silly, I know, but them youngsters love it. It’s like protectin’ your crops from them darn birds, but with more monkeys and more balloons.

  • Battle of Polytopia: Like checkers, but with more fightin’.
  • Bloons TD 6: Monkeys versus balloons. Simple as that.

I hear there are some other big-shot games too, like, uh… “Rome: Total War.” Sounds important, right? Like them history books, but now you’re the general tellin’ folks what to do. Probably gotta figure out where to put your archers and your horse riders, kinda like plannin’ where to put the cows in the pasture.

And there’s another one, somethin’ about railroads. “Sid Meier’s Railroads,” they call it. Reminds me of the time they tried to build a railroad through our land, bunch of city slickers comin’ in, messin’ up everything. But in this game, you build the railroad yourself, which sounds more fun, I reckon. You gotta figure out where to lay the tracks, what to haul, and how to make more money than that slick-talkin’ railroad fella back in the day.

Some folks even play these games with other folks, like across the country or somethin’. They call it “multiplayer.” Imagine that! Kids these days, sittin’ in their rooms, playin’ games with strangers. Back in my day, if you wanted to play with someone, you walked over to their house and yelled for ’em. But hey, times change, I guess.

Then there’s this “XCOM: Enemy Within.” Sounds scary, don’t it? Like them aliens gonna come and snatch you up in the middle of the night. But it’s just a game, thankfully. You gotta fight off them aliens, protect the Earth, all that good stuff. Kinda like protectin’ your chickens from the foxes, but with more laser guns and fewer feathers.

I tell you what, these games are gettin’ complicated. Used to be, you played hopscotch or marbles. Now, you got spaceships and railroads and bloons flyin’ everywhere. But I guess it keeps them youngsters busy, and that ain’t a bad thing. As long as they don’t forget how to plant corn and milk a cow, that’s all I care about.

Anyways, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do on that there phone of yours, maybe try one of them strategy games. Just don’t blame me if you get hooked. These things are designed to keep you playin’, like them casinos in the city. You start playin’, and before you know it, it’s dark outside and you haven’t even eaten supper.

Oh, and one more thing. Don’t go spendin’ all your money on them games. Some of ’em try to get you to buy this and that, little extra things to make the game easier or fancier. Don’t fall for it, I say. Just play the game, have fun, and don’t let it take over your life. There’s more to life than tappin’ on a screen, you know? You still gotta chop wood, fetch water, and tend the garden. Those games ain’t gonna do that for ya.

And that’s all I gotta say about that. Go on now, have fun with your games. Just remember what I told you.
