andretti indoor karting & games the colony reviews
Well, let me tell ya ’bout this Andretti place, the one they call Andretti Indoor Karting & Games over in The Colony. Folks been talkin’, so I went to see what all the fuss was about.
First off, they got these karts. Now, I ain’t no speed demon, but them young’uns, they sure do like to go fast. They say the little karts, the ones for the kids, they go up to 20 miles an hour. That’s pretty quick for a little tyke! The grown-up karts, they go even faster, up to 35 miles an hour. My old bones wouldn’t like that much, I reckon. But the youngsters, they have a blast, zippin’ around that track like bats outta heck.
Now, some folks, they get a little rowdy. They wanna bump and push each other outta the way. But Andretti, they say no sirree! You gotta be respectful, they say. No roughhousin’ allowed. That’s good, I say. Keep it safe for everyone.
And get this, you don’t gotta pay nothin’ just to walk in the door. It ain’t like them fairs where they charge ya just for breathin’ the air. At Andretti, you pay for what you do. You wanna ride a kart? You pay for the kart ride. You wanna play some games? You pay for the games. That seems fair enough to me.
They got all sorts of games there too. Not just them karts. They got arcade games, like them pinball machines and them video games the kids are always playin’. My grandkid, he loves them games. Spends all his allowance on ’em, I swear. They also have some kind of laser tag, where you shoot each other with them fancy lights. Sounds like a hoot, but I ain’t tried it myself. My eyes ain’t what they used to be.

- Go-karts: Fast little cars for racin’ around.
- Arcade games: Lots of blinkin’ lights and noises. Good for wastin’ time and money, I guess.
- Laser tag: Runnin’ around shootin’ beams of light. For the young and energetic.
- Food: They got food there too. Burgers and fries and such. Fuel for all that racin’ and playin’.
I heard some folks complainin’ about the prices. Said it was too expensive. Well, nothin’s cheap these days, is it? And if you want to have a good time, sometimes you gotta spend a little money. That’s just the way it is. But if you are looking for some cheap thrills, I don’t think this is your best bet, you know. If you wanna bring the family here, you are gonna have to spend some money.
Andretti Indoor Karting & Games, it ain’t for everyone, I reckon. But if you got some young’uns who like to go fast and play games, and you don’t mind spendin’ a little bit of money, then it might be worth a visit. Just don’t expect me to get in one of them karts. I’ll stick to watchin’ and maybe playin’ a little bingo if they got it. But they don’t so I just sat and watched. It was alright, though.
Overall, I think it’s a decent place to go if you have some extra money. I would not recommend it for a family on a tight budget. There is no general admission but it does get pricey when you start adding things on. But the kids seemed to love it, and that’s what matters I guess.
So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to do in The Colony, and you ain’t afraid of a little speed or a little noise, then you might wanna check out Andretti Indoor Karting & Games. Just remember to bring your wallet, and maybe some earplugs too.
One more thing, I did hear them people talking about booking in advance so maybe you check into that also. If you can buy tickets beforehand maybe you can save some money. I also heard them talking about a free cancelation policy, but you should check on that to be sure. It always pays to be sure on these kinds of things.
