roblox bypassed audios

Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with Roblox again, specifically trying to get some, shall we say, unique audio into my games. It’s a bit of a pain, right? Roblox is pretty strict about what audio you can upload, and sometimes the stuff you want just gets rejected. So, I went down a rabbit hole to figure out this whole “bypassed audios” thing. Here’s the deal with my little experiment.

The Hunt Begins

First, I needed some audio. Obviously, I couldn’t just grab any copyrighted song, So, I try find some royalty-free tracks, also I recorded some silly sounds myself.

The initial uploads? Nope. Rejected. I tried tweaking them, shortening them, changing the pitch a bit… still nothing. It was frustrating! I even tried searching online to see if there are some audios Id I can use.

Experimentation Time

I try to figure out that the problem with the audios I tried to upload.

  • I started messing with the audio file formats. Roblox says it supports MP3 and OGG, so I switched between * big changes, the rejection reason still be same.
  • Then, I played with the bitrates. Lowered them, raised them… still nothing. I felt like I was just guessing at this point.
  • I even tried adding some super quiet white noise in the background, thinking maybe that would trick the system. You know, like hiding vegetables in a kid’s food? Still failed!

Finally…A breakthrough!

By accident, I found a method that has worked for others. I won’t get into the exact specifics, because I’m not trying to encourage anything that could get people in trouble. But, I will say it involved some… creative… editing of the audio file itself, not just changing the settings, but altering the actual data in a very specific way.

After I uploaded the new file, I can’t belive my audio got through! It’s so excited to see the new sound effects in the game!

My Takeaway

It’s a tricky thing, this whole bypassed audio business. It’s definitely a gray area, and you should be really careful. I’m not saying you should do it, but it is possible, with a lot of trial and error. Just remember to respect copyright and Roblox’s rules. This was just my own little experiment, and your mileage may vary. Be smart, be respectful, and have fun experimenting!
