game of thrones season 1 review

Okay, so I finally decided to dive into “Game of Thrones” Season 1. I’d heard so much about it, everyone kept telling me, “You gotta watch it!” So, yeah, I gave in.

First, I had to figure out where to even watch it. I don’t have HBO, so I did some digging. Turns out, you can get it on a bunch of streaming services. you know, borrow it.

Once I had access, I settled in for a binge-watching session. I grabbed some snacks, dimmed the lights, the whole deal. I was ready to be transported to Westeros.

Getting into the Story

  • The first episode totally threw me. So many characters! I had no idea who was who or what was going on. I actually had to pause it a few times and look up some family trees online, just to keep track of the Starks, Lannisters, and Targaryens.
  • But, I stuck with it. And slowly, I started to get invested. The political scheming, the backstabbing, the… well, you know… those scenes. It was all pretty intense.
  • I found myself really rooting for some characters, like Ned Stark and Daenerys Targaryen. And absolutely hating others, like Joffrey. Seriously, that kid… ugh.

My thoughts after finishing all episodes

By the end of the season, I was completely hooked. That final episode? Holy cow! I definitely did not see that coming. I was yelling at the TV, like, “No way! That can’t be happening!”

Overall, I totally get the hype now. Season 1 of “Game of Thrones” is a wild ride. It’s confusing at first, but it’s worth sticking with. The characters are complex, the story is gripping, and the production value is insane. It really does feel like you’re watching something epic.
