genshin impact x isekai reader

Okay, folks, let’s dive into my little adventure of blending “Genshin Impact” with an “isekai reader” concept. It’s a bit of a niche interest, but hey, that’s what makes hobbies fun, right?

So, first things first, I got this wild idea stuck in my head: What if I was the one pulled into Teyvat? Not as the Traveler, but as, well, me. A regular person with all my modern-day baggage (literally and figuratively).

I started by just jotting down some random thoughts. I mean, what would actually happen if a totally unprepared person ended up in a world of elemental magic and hilichurls? Probably a lot of screaming and running, at least at first.

Brainstorming the Basics

  • Character Background: Decided to keep it simple. I’m basically playing myself – a slightly cynical, coffee-addicted blogger with a penchant for getting lost. No special powers, no hidden destiny, just… me.
  • Arrival Point: I figured Mondstadt would be the most forgiving starting point. I mean, it’s the City of Freedom, right? Less chance of getting immediately eaten by a Ruin Guard.
  • Initial Reactions: Pure, unadulterated panic, followed by a desperate search for Wi-Fi (spoiler alert: no luck). Then, a gradual acceptance of the situation, mixed with a healthy dose of “what have I gotten myself into?”

After setting up those fundmantal parts, I started to use my imagination, the “isekai reader” is me! The “genshin impact” is the world!

Then came the fun part: figuring out how my “character” (aka me) would interact with the Genshin world. I spent a good chunk of time just daydreaming, imagining conversations with Paimon (probably a lot of sarcastic banter), trying to explain the concept of the internet to Amber (good luck with that), and generally making a fool of myself in front of the Knights of Favonius. I even imagined and wrote how will I react to characters like Diluc. It was hilarious in my brain.

I also started sketching out a rough “plot” – nothing too epic, just a series of misadventures and awkward encounters. The main goal? Survival, and maybe, just maybe, finding a way back home. But honestly, the journey itself is the real entertainment here.

To keep track of my “progress,” I actually created a little journal, just like I would in a real game. I listed “quests” (like “Don’t get eaten by a slime” and “Figure out how to make coffee in Teyvat”), tracked my “inventory” (mostly useless stuff from my pockets), and even doodled some of the scenes I imagined.

At the end of the day. I wrote a whole stroy about them! It was so fun!

So, yeah, that’s basically my “Genshin Impact x isekai reader” project in a nutshell. It’s a bit silly, a bit self-indulgent, but it’s been a surprisingly fun way to engage with the game world on a more personal level. And hey, who knows, maybe one day I’ll actually turn it into a proper fanfic. But for now, it’s just my little secret adventure in Teyvat.
