Okay, so, yesterday, I decided to get into this “Genshin Impact gweda” thing. I’d seen some buzz about it online, and I’m a sucker for fan art and stuff, so I figured, why not?

First thing I did was browse around to see what this gweda even was. Turns out, it’s this artist, or maybe a group, I’m not entirely sure, but they make some seriously, uh, intense Genshin Impact art. Not the kind of stuff you’d show your grandma, let’s just put it that way.

So, I started looking for their work. Found some stuff on this site called Pixiv, but most of it was just previews. If you wanted the full, uncensored stuff, you had to go to their Patreon or Fanbox. I saw a mention of an uncensored “Gweda Collection (Part 2)” with parodies on many games like Genshin, Girls Frontline, and so on. It got me intrigued. The specific art they had on Genshin characters like Jean and Clorinde was wild, to say the least.

I spent a while just browsing through the previews. Some of it was, honestly, pretty out there. There was some talk about a “mosaic censorship” version and then the real deal. Also found this image of Lumine, I think it was from May 2023. Pretty detailed, to say the least. And lots of people were sharing it around. Also, I saw that this artist makes some noise variations. It was really weird.

Then I got to thinking, maybe I should just support the artist directly. I mean, they’re putting in the work, right? So I checked out their Patreon. It seemed legit, but I wasn’t really ready to commit to a monthly thing. I considered the Fanbox option, but I figured it was probably the same deal, with monthly costs. I sent a message to ask them what is it about.

• Browsing: I spent a good chunk of time just looking at the art, figuring out what I liked.
• Decisions: I had to decide if I wanted to support the artist and, if so, how.
• Hesitation: I ultimately decided not to subscribe to anything because I wasn’t sure it was worth it just for some, ahem, spicy Genshin art.

My Final Thoughts

So, yeah, that was my little adventure into the world of Genshin Impact gweda. It was… interesting. I’m still not sure how I feel about the whole thing. Part of me is like, “This is kind of messed up,” but another part is curious, I guess. Anyway, I thought I’d share my experience. Maybe some of you have had similar experiences, or maybe I’m just weird. Who knows?
