genshin impact arlecchino cosplay
Okay, so I’ve been wanting to cosplay Arlecchino from Genshin Impact for a while now, and I finally did it! She’s just so cool, you know? The whole “Father” thing, the sleek outfit, it all just screamed “cosplay me!” So, here’s how I went about it.
Getting the Outfit Together
First, I tackled the outfit. I’m not exactly a sewing whiz, so I decided to buy a pre-made costume online. I spent a good few hours browsing different stores, reading reviews, comparing prices and what’s included in the set. Gotta make sure I’m getting my money’s worth, right?
I finally settled on one that looked pretty decent and ordered it, keeping my fingers crossed that it would fit well and the materials were good. It arrived a couple of weeks later, and thankfully, it was actually pretty good! The fabric was surprisingly nice, not that cheap, shiny stuff you sometimes get. Phew, that was a relief!
Wig Styling Fun
Next up was the wig. Arlecchino’s got this really distinctive white hair with black streaks, and I wanted to get that just right. I ordered a plain white wig and some black wefts separately. When they arrived, it was time for some DIY action.
I spent a whole evening carefully sewing in the black wefts, trying to match the reference pictures I had printed out. It was a bit tedious, but seeing it come together was super satisfying. Then came the styling. I used a bunch of hairspray and a bit of heat to get that spiky, upward-swept look she has. It took some trial and error, but I was pretty happy with the end result.

Makeup and Details
The makeup was the next challenge. Arlecchino’s got those striking red eyes and that pale complexion. I already had some white face paint from a previous cosplay, so I used that as a base. Then I practiced a few times with red eyeshadow and eyeliner to get that intense, slightly menacing look she has. Getting the shape of the eyeliner right around the eyes was tricky, but practice makes perfect, as they say.
Oh, and I almost forgot! She’s got these black, claw-like nails. I couldn’t find any long enough, so I just bought some regular black press-on nails and filed them into sharp points. Worked like a charm! They felt a bit weird at first, but they really added to the overall look.
Putting It All Together
Finally, the day came to put it all together. I carefully put on the costume, making sure everything was sitting right. Then came the wig, which I secured with a bunch of bobby pins. And lastly, the makeup. I think that took the longest, but it was totally worth it.
When I looked in the mirror, I was pretty stoked! It actually looked like Arlecchino staring back at me. I took a bunch of pictures, trying out different poses and expressions. It was so much fun! I even went to a local convention in the cosplay, and people seemed to really like it. I got a lot of compliments and some people even asked for photos. It was a great experience, and I’m already thinking about who I want to cosplay next. Maybe someone a bit less intense, though, haha. But yeah, all in all, a successful Arlecchino cosplay, if I do say so myself!
