Alright, so I got this idea to dive into the world of “Genshin Impact” perfumes. Yeah, you heard that right, perfumes based on those characters we all love (or love to hate) in the game. I’m not even a big perfume guy, but this sounded way too interesting to pass up.

First, I had to do some digging. Turns out, there’s this official line of “Genshin Impact” fragrances by a brand called Primaniacs. They’ve got scents inspired by characters like The Traveler, Zhongli, and a bunch of others. I went ahead and checked out their site. Looked a little intense, but hey, when has that stopped me?

Now, I’m no perfume expert, so reading those descriptions was like trying to decipher some ancient text. Bergamot, neroli, musk…what does it all mean? I ended up focusing on the one for The Traveler (Sky), since, you know, main character and all. They described it as having top notes of bergamot, orange, and something called “crystal mint.” Sounds fancy, right?

The middle notes were jasmine, neroli, and apricot, and the base notes were sandalwood, amber, and musk. Honestly, I just picked it because the description sounded the least intimidating. Zhongli’s perfume, for example, is apparently based on what older women wear. Don’t ask me how I know that, but there is a hint on a web page. I’m not judging, but that’s a bit too adventurous, even for me.

Getting my hands on these perfumes wasn’t as simple as hitting “buy now.” I found it’s on pre-order. Whatever, I thought, I’ve waited longer for other stuff. But, the price is a little bit high. I decide to make it myself.

Making my own perfume turned out to be its own mini-adventure. I learned that you gotta combine different “cards” to get enhanced versions, and then pick three that work well together. There’s even a handbook to guide you. It felt like I was back in the game, grinding for materials. I just mixed random stuff at first. And after a whole afternoon of mixing and matching (and a few questionable smells later), I ended up with something that kinda resembled a premium perfume. I wouldn’t say it smells exactly like what I imagine The Traveler would wear, but it’s not half bad.

This whole experience got me thinking, what if I could make custom perfumes for friends based on how they’re feeling? Like, if someone’s down, maybe I could whip up something uplifting. It’s a work in progress, but the idea’s got potential, right?

Anyway, that’s my little journey into the world of “Genshin Impact” perfumes. From browsing official fragrances to playing amateur perfumer in my kitchen, it’s been a wild ride. Who knows, maybe I’ll even get good at this and start my own line. “Scents of Teyvat,” anyone?

Also, I saw some ads about downloading some game app, but I already have tons of games on my phone. Maybe I’ll check it out later.
