Okay, so, I’ve been meaning to get into this whole Genshin Impact gift card thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a journey. First off, I started by looking around for actual “Genshin Impact” branded gift cards. I mean, that’s what you’d expect, right? Turns out, those don’t really exist. Yeah, I know, surprising! So, that was a dead end.

But, I didn’t give up there. I figured, okay, if there are no specific Genshin Impact cards, there must be another way. Then it hit me – general gift cards! Like those for the App Store, Google Play, or even just general VISA gift cards. These should work, right? Because, at the end of the day, it’s about adding funds to your account to buy stuff in the game. I’m pretty sure many people use them for Genshin Impact.

Next step was to actually try it out. I grabbed myself an Apple Gift Card, since I’m on iOS. I went through the usual process, you know, scratching off the back, entering the code into the App Store to redeem it. Pretty standard stuff. And boom, the credit was right there in my account.

With the credit ready to go, I jumped into Genshin Impact, eager to finally get some of those sweet Genesis Crystals. I went to the in-game shop, picked the crystal pack I wanted, and hit buy. It prompted me to use my Apple ID balance, which, of course, was topped up thanks to the gift card. I confirmed, and bam! Crystals were mine. And I saw some friends around me also used Google Play gift cards to buy Genesis Crystals successfully.

I also went to some shop to look for physical Genshin Impact cards. You know, those collectible cards? It was quite an experience. I managed to find a few booster packs and a really nice-looking boxed set, the 11th Deluxe Version, I think it was. I ended up grabbing some of those, too. They’re not gift cards, but hey, they’re Genshin Impact-related, and they look pretty awesome.

So, that’s my little adventure with Genshin Impact and gift cards. It’s not as straightforward as I initially thought, but it definitely works. You just gotta think outside the box a little. Or rather, outside the non-existent Genshin Impact gift card box. If you’re looking to gift some in-game goodies to a friend or just treat yourself, general gift cards are the way to go. And hey, if you’re into collecting, those physical cards are a nice bonus!
