display hardware temps in game

Well, so you wanna know how to see them hardware temps while you’re in a game, huh? My grandson, he’s always fussin’ with his computer, playin’ them games. I don’t know much about them computers, but I picked up a thing or two.

First off, you gotta know what them numbers mean, them CPU and GPU temperatures. You see a number, but what good is it if you don’t know if it’s good or bad? Like cookin’ a chicken, you gotta know when it’s done, right? Not too raw, not too burnt. Same with them computer parts.

They say there’s a “standard” temperature, somethin’ they call “ideal.” I reckon it’s like sayin’ the ideal temperature for a summer day. Not too hot, not too cold, just right. For them processors, I heard it is something like not too hot, not too cold. But each one’s different, like how some folks like it hotter than others.

Now, how do you see these numbers in the game? There’s a few ways, they tell me. One is somethin’ called “MSI Afterburner”. Sounds like somethin’ you’d use on a tractor, don’t it? But it’s for computers. It shows you all sorts of things, like how hard that computer’s workin’.

And then there’s another way, somethin’ to do with that little arrow down by the clock on your computer screen. You know, the one that shows all them little pictures? They call it the “system tray”. I always thought it looked more like a junk drawer. Full of stuff you don’t know what to do with.

  • You gotta click that little up arrow, they say.
  • Then you look for somethin’ called “Highest temperature per processor”. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
  • Then you can change the colors and stuff, make it look pretty. I don’t know why you’d bother, but the young folks like that sort of thing.
  • Then you click “Apply”. Like applyin’ butter to bread, I guess.

Then, you can see the CPU temperature right there in that system tray. Easy peasy, once you know how. It shows the current temperature, all the time, but you don’t know if it is good or bad. You need to find out the ideal temperature first.

But remember what I said about knowin’ what the numbers mean? You gotta figure out what’s normal for your computer. Like how you know your own body temperature. You know when you got a fever, right? It is hot. Same with the computer. You gotta learn its normal temperature, so you know when it’s gettin’ too hot. A hot computer can be a bad sign, I guess.

My grandson, he’s always tellin’ me about how important it is to keep the computer cool. He’s got these fans in there, blowin’ air around. Says it helps the computer work better, last longer. Like keepin’ a horse cool on a hot day. You gotta give it some shade, some water, let it rest. This hardware temps display thing is the same.

So, there you have it. That’s how you display hardware temps in game, or so they tell me. It ain’t rocket science, just a few clicks here and there. But like I said, you gotta understand what them numbers mean. Don’t just stare at ’em like a deer in headlights.

Now, I ain’t no computer expert. I just know what I hear from the young folks. If you really wanna know all the ins and outs, you best ask someone who knows more than me. But hopefully, this gives you a little startin’ point. It is not easy to know about CPU and GPU temperatures.

Just remember to keep an eye on that computer, make sure it ain’t gettin’ too hot. And if it does, maybe give it a little break. Turn off them games for a while, let it cool down. Like givin’ a tired old dog a rest in the shade. Computers need rest too, I reckon.

This MSI Afterburner, it looks simple. You download it, you install it, then you run it. Then you can see all the temps and stuff. The young folks use it all the time. If they can do it, you can too. It is a good program to display temps.

Keep your computer cool, that is the key. You don’t need to do much. Just know the normal temperature, and you can easily tell if it is too hot. Then you can do something to fix it. It is like fixing the engine on your old car. You see the engine is hot, you do something.

My grandson always cleans his computer. He opens it up and blows out all the dust. He says dust is bad for the computer. It makes it hot. I don’t know how that works, but he is very serious about it. He is serious about his hardware temps in game too. He always talks about it.

Well, that is all I know. I am not good with computers, but I know a little bit. I hope this helps you. Remember to keep your computer cool, and you will be fine. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it. The young folks are always happy to help with computer stuff. At least my grandson is. Good luck with your temps display.
