pokemon x and y game review

Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this Pokemon X and Y game. My grandkids, they love these pokey-mans, so I figured I’d take a gander. Don’t know much ’bout these things, but I’ll tell ya what I saw.

So, this here Pokemon X and Y, it’s on that 3DS thingy. Fancy little gadget, that is. Got all sorts of colors and whatnots. The game itself, well, it’s got these little critters, the pokey-mans. Some old ones I kinda recognize from when the kids were younger, and some new ones, all wiggly and sparkly.

  • You get to pick a starter one, like in the old days. Watery one, grassy one, firey one. Same old, same old, but the kids, they love it.
  • Then you go ’round, catchin’ more pokey-mans. Throw these ball things at ’em, hope they don’t wiggle out. Reminds me of tryin’ to catch chickens back in the day, only these pokey-mans fit in your pocket.
  • And you fight other folks with your pokey-mans. Make ’em strong, teach ’em new tricks. Just like trainin’ a good dog, I reckon.

Now, the critics, they say it’s a “Mighty” game. Don’t rightly know what that means, but they seemed to like it. Forty-one of ’em, no less. Must be somethin’ good, huh? My grandkids, they sure think so. Spend hours starin’ at that little screen, tappin’ away.

This here game, it ain’t too hard, they say. Even an old lady like me could probably figure it out, if I had the time. And it ain’t got much to do after you beat the main story, whatever that is. But it’s good for playin’ with them pokey-mans from way back when, the ones the older kids used to like. You know, the Gen One and Gen Two ones, or somethin’ like that. Heard you can find ’em used, on that eBay thing. Save a bit of money, that’s always good.

Pokemon X and Y review, that’s what they call this. Reviewin’ somethin’, I guess means tellin’ folks if it’s good or not. Well, it seems good enough to me. Kids are happy, ain’t causin’ no trouble. That’s a good game in my book.

This here game, it takes a good long while to play. Thirty-one hours, they say. That’s more than a whole day! Guess you get your money’s worth. And if you’re one of them folks who likes to do everything, see everything, well, it’ll take ya even longer. Plenty to keep ya busy, that’s for sure.

Some folks, they like it ’cause it reminds ’em of the old pokey-man games. Nostalgia, they call it. Fancy word for rememberin’ the good old days. And it’s got new stuff too, new places to go, new pokey-mans to catch. So it’s kinda like the old and the new all mixed together. Like me makin’ a stew with fresh veggies and some old dried beans. Best of both worlds, I reckon.

This Pokemon X and Y game review, ain’t got no fancy words or nothin’. Just tellin’ it like it is. It’s a game for kids, mostly. But even an old lady can see it’s got somethin’ to it. It’s fun, it’s colorful, and it keeps ’em entertained. And that’s all that really matters, ain’t it?

So, if you got some young’uns who like pokey-mans, or if you remember them from when you were young yourself, this here X and Y game might be just the ticket. Go on, give it a try. Can’t hurt nothin’, and who knows, you might even enjoy it yourself. Just don’t spend too much time starin’ at that screen, ya hear? Gotta get some sunshine and fresh air too.

And that’s all I got to say ’bout this here Pokemon X and Y. It’s a game, it’s got pokey-mans, and the kids love it. What more do ya need to know?
