paragon game review
Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here Paragon game. I ain’t no fancy gamer, ya hear? Just an old gal who likes to pass the time, and this here game, well, it caught my eye.
First off, it’s what they call a “MOBA.” Don’t ask me what that means, some fancy city folks’ word, I reckon. But it’s like a fightin’ game, ya see? You got these heroes, and they go at it, bashin’ and shootin’ and whatnot. And it’s in that 3D stuff, like you’re really there, runnin’ around. Makes my head spin sometimes, all that jumpin’ and turnin’, but it’s kinda fun, I gotta admit.
Now, these heroes, they ain’t just regular folks. They got powers, see? Like that one fella, he can shoot fire outta his hands, burns things real good. And that lady, she can disappear and then pop up behind ya, sneaky like. They get these powers from cards, I think. You play the game, you get more cards, and your heroes get stronger. It’s like collectin’ stamps, but instead of stamps, you get things that make you whoop up on the other folks better.
They say this game is a mix of two things, MOBA and FPS. More fancy words, I tell ya. But the FPS part, I think that means you’re lookin’ right over the hero’s shoulder, like you’re the one doin’ the fightin’. And the MOBA part, well, that’s the team stuff. You ain’t just fightin’ by yourself, you got other folks on your side, and you gotta work together to win. Like a barn raisin’, but with more explosions.
This here Paragon game ain’t new, though. It came out a few years back, they say. Then it shut down. Imagine that! People were playin’ it, havin’ a good time, and then, bam, no more game. Folks were upset, I heard. Like when the county fair got canceled ’cause of that big storm. But then, somethin’ funny happened. Another game came out, called Paragon: The Overprime. Same kinda thing, heroes fightin’, cards and all. But wouldn’t ya know it, that one shut down too! Seems like these fancy game makers can’t make up their minds.

- Heroes with Unique Powers: Each hero in Paragon has special abilities, making them different to play.
- Card System: Cards give heroes new powers and ways to fight.
- 3D Action: The game is in 3D, so it feels like you’re right in the middle of the battle.
- Teamwork: You have to work with your team to win.
Now, there’s another game, Predecessor they call it. They say it’s kinda like Paragon, but better. I ain’t tried it yet, but maybe I will. Always lookin’ for somethin’ to keep me busy, ya know?
This Paragon game, it was free, they say. That’s good, ’cause I ain’t got money to be throwin’ around on games. And it was on the computer and that Playstation thing, so lots of folks could play it. But I guess not enough folks played it, or they woulda kept it goin’, right? It’s like when the general store closed down, wasn’t enough folks buyin’ stuff there, so they shut the doors.
The fightin’ in the game, it’s fast, real fast. Lots of explosions, things flyin’ around. Sometimes I can’t even keep up with what’s goin’ on. But it’s excitin’, gotta say that. And the heroes, they look all different, some big and strong, some small and quick. Reminds me of the folks at the town meetin’, all shapes and sizes, and all arguin’ about somethin’ or other.
They say Paragon was tryin’ to be like them other big games, them “DotA” and “LoL” ones. But I guess it didn’t work out. Kinda like when Billy tried to make his corn grow as tall as Mr. Henderson’s, ended up with a bunch of skinny stalks and no ears. Sometimes you gotta just do your own thing, I reckon.
So, what do I think of this Paragon game? Well, it was fun while it lasted. A good way to pass the time, see some fancy fightin’, and imagine I was a hero with fire shootin’ out my hands. Too bad it’s gone now. But hey, that’s life, ain’t it? Things come and go. Maybe I’ll find another game, maybe I’ll just go back to watchin’ the birds and the bees. Either way, I’ll be alright.
But if you hear about another one of these “MOBA” games, you let me know, ya hear? Especially if it’s got heroes and cards and lots of explosions. This old gal still got some fight left in her, even if it’s just on a screen.
One more thing, they should have made Paragon easier to understand. All them fancy words and such confused this old lady for a while. Just saying make it simpler next time, okay? Good riddance, or not, to the game, I guess.
