xbox one strategy war games
Hey there, y’all! Let’s yak about them Xbox One strategy war games, alright? Now, I ain’t no fancy gamer girl, but I do like a good game now and then. Especially them games where you gotta use your brain, you know? Not just shootin’ and runnin’ around like a chicken with its head cut off.
So, first off, what in tarnation are these “strategy war games” anyways? Well, to me, it’s like this: you gotta think, plan, and boss people around, or maybe tanks or spaceships, to win. It ain’t just about who’s got the fastest fingers; it’s about who’s got the smartest head.
Now, some folks are all about them shooty games. They like runnin’ and gunnin’. But me? I like to sit back, scratch my head, and figure things out. Like, where should I put my soldiers? Should I attack now or wait? It’s like a big ol’ puzzle, but with explosions!
The thing is, this here Xbox One, it ain’t got exactly what some folks call them “real” strategy war games. You know, them big ones like on the computer. But that don’t mean there ain’t nothin’ good to play! We just gotta dig a little deeper, that’s all.
One game I heard about is called Civilization 6. Now, that sounds fancy, but it’s just about buildin’ stuff. You start with nothin’, just a little shack, and then you grow it into a whole dang empire! You gotta manage your resources, make friends with other folks, or maybe fight ’em if they get in your way. It’s kinda like real life, but with more pyramids and less bills to pay.

- Buildin’ stuff: You gotta make farms, cities, and all sorts of things.
- Thinkin’ ahead: You can’t just do whatever you want; you gotta plan for the future.
- Diplomacy or war: You can try to be friendly, or you can just conquer everybody. Your choice!
This Civ 6, it seems like it’s a turn-based game. That means you take your turn, then the computer takes its turn, and so on. Kinda like chess, but with way more stuff goin’ on. You gotta think about where to put your cities, what kinda buildings to make, and how to keep your people happy. It ain’t easy, but it’s darn satisfying when you finally get the hang of it.
Another game they talk about is RimWorld. This one’s a bit different. It’s about survivin’ on a faraway planet after your spaceship crashes. You gotta build a shelter, find food, and fight off wild animals, or maybe even worse, other people! It sounds tough, but it’s supposed to be real fun, too. It seems complicated though, like one of them brain teasers they sell at the general store.
And then there’s this XCOM: Enemy Unknown game. This one’s about fightin’ aliens. Sounds scary, huh? But it’s not just about shootin’ them; you gotta plan your attacks, research new weapons, and manage your team. It’s kinda like a chess game, but with ray guns and spaceships. I ain’t never seen a real ray gun, but they sure sound powerful.
Now, like I said, these ain’t all exactly like them big ol’ war games on the computer. But they still got that strategy part, that thinkin’ part, that makes ’em fun for folks like me who like to use their brain. They might not have thousands of little soldiers marchin’ around, but they got plenty of challenges and decisions to keep you busy.
So, which one is the best? Well, that depends on what you like. If you like buildin’ empires, try Civ 6. If you like survivin’ against the odds, check out RimWorld. And if you wanna fight aliens, XCOM’s your game. They all sound good to me, though I reckon I’d be lost in space pretty quick. But land development sounds right up my alley. Never did understand much about spaceships anyway, but growing crops? Now, that’s somethin’ I know a little about.
The important thing is to find a game you enjoy, one that makes you think and plan. And don’t worry if you ain’t no expert. I sure ain’t! Just jump in and give it a try. You might just surprise yourself. After all, even an old hen like me can learn a new trick or two, even if it’s just on the TV screen.
And don’t forget to have fun! That’s what games are for, right? So, grab your controller, settle in, and get ready to use your brain. These strategy war games on Xbox One might not be exactly what the city folks play, but they got plenty of heart and plenty of challenge for us country folk, or anybody who likes a good thinkin’ game.
So go on now, get to playin’! And don’t let them young whippersnappers tell you that you’re too old for games. Age ain’t nothin’ but a number, and a sharp mind is a sharp mind, no matter how many wrinkles you got!
