best strategy games mac

Alright, listen up, y’all. We gonna talk ’bout them fancy computer games, the ones them city folks call “strategy games,” on that Mac thingy. Don’t know much ’bout these contraptions, but my grandson, he showed me some stuff. Said folks are always lookin’ for the “best” ones, so here’s the lowdown, plain and simple, like how we talk ’round here.

First off, gotta talk ’bout this StarCraft 2 thing. My grandson says it’s a big deal. Folks online, they give it a score of 93, whatever that means. Sounds high, like a good corn yield, so I guess it’s good. It’s one of them “real-time” games, like fightin’ a war but on the screen. You gotta be quick, like snatchin’ a chicken from a hawk.

Then there’s this whole Age of Empires III. Sounds old, like somethin’ from history books. But it’s on that Mac, so it must be new-fangled old. My grandson says you build stuff and fight other folks. Kinda like buildin’ a barn, but with more fightin’, I reckon. He also yapped about Total War: WARHAMMER II and Total War: Pharaoh. Sounded like a lot of yellin’ and fightin’ to me. Lots of “total war,” whatever that is. More fightin’ than a barn raisin’, that’s for sure.

And don’t forget Homeworld Remastered Collection. Spaceships and such. Flyin’ around in the sky, shootin’ at things. Reminds me of them fireflies on a summer night, but way more dangerous. My grandson says it’s pretty, too. Like lookin’ at a field of sunflowers, but with more explosions, I guess.

  • StarCraft 2: Fast fightin’, like a chicken hawk swoopin’ down.
  • Age of Empires III: Buildin’ stuff and fightin’, like a barn raisin’ gone wild.
  • Total War games: Lots of yellin’ and fightin’, more than a hen house brawl.
  • Homeworld Remastered Collection: Spaceships and explosions, like fireflies on steroids.
  • Tooth and Tail: I don’t know much about this one, but grandson says it has animals and fighting. Like a fox in a henhouse, I reckon.

Then there’s this Tooth and Tail game. Animals fightin’, grandson says. Like a fox in a henhouse, I guess. But you gotta be thinkin’, plannin’ your moves, like when you’re plantin’ crops. Gotta know when to plant the corn and when to harvest, otherwise you ain’t got nothin’. Same with this game, I reckon.

My grandson also babbled ’bout Hearts of Iron and somethin’ called Civilization 6. “Civ” 6, he called it. Said it’s like buildin’ your own little world, from scratch. Like buildin’ a whole town from a patch of dirt, but on the computer. You gotta make decisions, like whether to plant corn or beans, or whether to trade with your neighbors or fight ’em. Sounds like a lot of work to me, but he seems to like it.

Now, all these games, they got this “Game Center” thing on the Mac. My grandson says it lets you play with your friends, see who’s the best. Like a county fair competition, but for computer games. You can track your scores, see how you stack up against other folks. Sounds kinda competitive, like who can grow the biggest pumpkin at the fair. But instead of pumpkins, it’s spaceships and armies and such.

So, there you have it. The “best strategy games” on that Mac thing, accordin’ to my grandson and them folks online. Sounds like a lot of fightin’ and thinkin’ to me. But if you like that sort of thing, I guess it’s alright. Me, I’d rather be out in the garden, watchin’ the corn grow. But these young folks, they like their screens and their buttons and their explosions. To each their own, I always say.

Remember, this is just what I heard. I ain’t played these games myself. I’m just tellin’ it to you straight, like it is. No fancy talk, just plain and simple, like a good ol’ country song.
