genshin impact craftable weapons

Alright, let’s talk about them Genshin Impact craftable weapons. You know, the ones you can make yourself, ain’t gotta rely on those fancy gacha pulls all the time.

First off, where do you even get the blueprints, or whatever they call ’em, diagrams? Well, some blacksmiths just give ’em to ya. Like that gal in Mondstadt, and the fella in Liyue. You just waltz up, yap a bit, and bam! Got yourself some new weapon recipes. Other places, like Inazuma, you gotta do some runnin’ around, doin’ quests and stuff. And that new place, Fontaine? Gotta trade some shiny rocks and stuff for ’em, real pain in the behind if you ask me.

Now, once you got the recipe, you need stuff to make it, right? It ain’t magic, y’know. Most of the time, you need some kind of billet. They got these Northlander Billets, Midlander Billets, and now these Borderland Billets, whatever that means. You get ’em from fightin’ those big bosses every week, or you can turn the old ones into the new ones at the crafting bench. Handy, I guess, if you got a bunch of them old ones lyin’ around.

  • Northlander Billets: The old standbys, used for Mondstadt and Liyue weapons.
  • Midlander Billets: For Inazuma weapons, if I remember right.
  • Borderland Billets: The new hotness, for Fontaine weapons.

Then you need other stuff, like White Iron Chunks. You find them rocks all over the place, just gotta keep an eye out. And those Condessence Crystals, those are new too, for them Fontaine weapons. Gotta go to Fontaine to find them, makes sense, I guess.

So, what kinda weapons can you make? Well, there’s all sorts. Swords, big ol’ claymores, bows for shootin’, those catalyst thingamajigs for magic, and spears for pokin’. Each region’s got their own style, y’know? Mondstadt ones are kinda plain, Liyue ones got some fancy swirls, Inazuma ones look all sleek and sharp, and Fontaine ones…well, they look kinda fancy, like them Fontaine folks. Some weapons are better for some characters than others, depends on what they do. Some hit hard, some heal you up, some make your magic stronger. You gotta figure out what works best for your team.

Take that Amenoma Kageuchi sword, for example. Folks say it’s real good, something about it makin’ your burst recharge faster. Sounds complicated to me, but if it helps you hit harder, then it’s good in my book.

And gettin’ these weapons, it ain’t always easy. Those billets, they don’t drop every time. You gotta fight those bosses over and over, hopin’ you get lucky. And sometimes you get the wrong billet, then you gotta go turn it into the one you need. It’s a whole process, I tell ya. But hey, at least it’s somethin’ you can work towards, instead of just hopin’ you get lucky on them wishes. You get to feel like you actually did somethin’ to earn that weapon, y’know?

And sometimes, if you’re lucky, you just get a weapon handed to ya by doin’ a quest. It does not happen often, but it can. I guess that is how they encourage you to keep playing. I never say no to something that is free.

There’s also that Battle Pass thing, the Gnostic Hymn, or whatever. You pay some money, do some chores, and you get a free weapon. It’s alright, I guess, if you got money to spare. But I’d rather save my Mora and just fight them bosses.

So that’s the lowdown on craftable weapons, as far as I can tell. Get the recipe, gather the stuff, and make yourself a shiny new weapon. It ain’t always easy, but it’s better than relyin’ on luck all the time, that is for sure.

Just keep in mind:

  • Blacksmiths are your friends. Go talk to them.
  • Bosses are stingy, be prepared to fight them a lot.
  • White Iron Chunks are everywhere, just keep your eyes peeled.
  • Fontaine weapons need special Fontaine stuff.
  • Reading is important, those weapon descriptions tell you what they do.

Now go on, get to craftin’!
