strategy game ps5
Alright, let’s talk about them strategy games on that PS5 thingy, you know, the one my grandson plays all the time. He’s always yellin’ about buildin’ stuff and fightin’ wars, so I guess I know a little somethin’ somethin’.
First off, they got this Baldur’s Gate 3. My grandson, he says it came out… uh… August somethin’, last year. He keeps goin’ on and on about it. Says it’s real good, lots of choosin’ and doin’ stuff. Sounds complicated if you ask me. Like, why can’t they just make games where you shoot things and be done with it? But he likes it, so it must be somethin’ special, I reckon.
Then there’s all these other games, they call ‘em “strategy.” Like, buildin’ a whole town or somethin’. My grandson showed me one, Civilization 6, he called it. Said it’s been around for a while, even got some new stuff added. You gotta make your city better than the other folks’ cities, I guess. He was explainin’ somethin’ about “districts,” makin’ the city spread out, not all crammed together. Sounded like a headache to me, but he seemed to enjoy it, the little rascal.
- Buildin’ stuff: Seems like a big part of these games. You gotta make houses, farms, armies, all sorts of things. Reminds me of plantin’ a garden, but way more complicated.
- Fightin’ wars: Can’t have a game without some fightin’, right? You gotta train your soldiers and send ‘em off to beat up the other guys. Just like chickens fightin’ in the yard, I guess, but with swords and bows and arrows, and magic stuff too sometimes.
- Thinkin’ hard: That’s the part I don’t get. My grandson, he sits there for hours just starin’ at the screen, thinkin’ and thinkin’. Says you gotta plan ahead, figure out what the other guys are gonna do. Too much thinkin’ for my old brain, I tell ya.
And get this, they’re even talkin’ about bringin’ that Age of Empires game to the PS5. That’s an old one, even I remember hearin’ about it way back when. My other grandson, the older one, used to play it on the computer. Buildin’ empires and fightin’ through history, he said. Guess they’re makin’ it all fancy for the new machines. Kids these days, they got it so easy. Back in my day, we had to use our imaginations!
Now, they also got some new games comin’ out, my grandson’s always readin’ about ‘em online. Somethin’ called Fantasian Neo Dimension comin’ out in December. And another one, Marvel Rivals. He’s all excited about that one, somethin’ about superheroes fightin’ each other. Sounds like a noisy mess to me, but he’ll probably be glued to the TV for days when it comes out.

So, yeah, that’s what I know about them strategy games on the PS5. Buildin’, fightin’, and thinkin’. Lots of thinkin’. Maybe too much thinkin’ for an old lady like me. I’d rather just watch my soap operas, myself. But the young’uns, they seem to like ‘em. Keeps ‘em outta trouble, I suppose. Mostly.
Choosing the best PS5 strategy game ain’t easy, it all depends on what you like. You want swords and sorcery? Baldur’s Gate is your thing. You wanna build a whole dang civilization from the ground up? Civilization 6. Want some old-school empire building? Keep an eye out for Age of Empires. And if you like them superheroes, well, Marvel Rivals might be your cup of tea. Just remember, these games take time. You gotta be patient, gotta think, gotta plan. It ain’t like shootin’ ducks in a pond, that’s for sure.
So, there you have it. A whole bunch of words about strategy games on the PS5, from a woman who’d rather be knittin’. But hey, if it makes the grandkids happy, I guess it can’t be all bad. Now, if you’ll excuse me, my soaps are about to come on.
