halo reach game review
Alright, so you youngsters wanna know ’bout this here Halo: Reach game, huh? Well, lemme tell ya, it ain’t like them farm chores, that’s for sure. It’s a shootin’ game, lots of bang-bang and boom-boom.
First off, they talk about some “Noble Team.” Sounds fancy, right? They’re like soldiers, but tougher, I reckon. They got these big ol’ suits and they go around fightin’ aliens. Mean-lookin’ critters, too, not like the chickens we got here. These aliens got teeth and claws and guns, the whole shebang.
Now, this game, they say it came out a long time ago, back in 2010. That’s ancient history for you young’uns! But they fixed it up all nice and shiny for the new computin’ machines. They call it “Master Chief Collection,” sounds like a stamp collection to me, but it’s got all these Halo games in it. This Reach one is the first, they say. Tells you the beginnin’ of the story, how things got all messed up.

- You shoot a whole heap of aliens.
- There’s a story, but I ain’t gonna spoil it for ya.
The story, well, it’s kinda sad, I gotta say. These soldiers, they know they’re in trouble, but they keep fightin’ anyway. Brave folks, even if they’re just pixels on a screen. They fight and fight, and things get pretty hairy. You feel for ’em, you know? Like watchin’ your prize-winning piglet get snatched up by a hawk, only way more explosions.
This game ain’t for the faint of heart, let me tell ya. It’s loud and it’s fast. Things are blowin’ up left and right, you’re runnin’ and gunnin’, and there’s aliens everywhere. It’ll make your head spin faster than a whirligig in a tornado. But it’s excitin’, too. Like ridin’ a runaway tractor, but with more laser beams.
They say this game looks real good, too. “Graphics,” they call it. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that, but I can tell ya, it looks pretty darn purty. The explosions are bright and fiery, the aliens look mean and slimy, and the places you go are all different and interesting. One minute you’re in a dusty desert, the next you’re in a shiny spaceship. Keeps things lively, that’s for sure.
And the sound! Oh, the sound! It’s like a Fourth of July fireworks show, but all year round. Guns are blastin’, aliens are screamin’, and there’s this music playin’ that makes your heart thump like a jackhammer. They say some fella named Marty O’Donnell made all that noise. Well, he did a good job, I reckon. Makes you feel like you’re right there in the middle of the fight.
Now, some folks say you gotta play all the other Halo games first, to understand what’s goin’ on. But I say, hogwash! You can jump right into Reach and have a good time. It’s like eatin’ dessert first. Who needs the main course when you got all this action and excitement? And it’s a darn good action pack story, even if you don’t know what’s coming later in the whole Halo story. This is the last stand, the beginnin’ of the end.
So, is this Halo: Reach game any good? Well, I ain’t no expert, but I’d say it’s a darn fine game. It’s got a good story, lots of action, and it looks and sounds great. If you like shootin’ things and blowin’ stuff up, then you’ll probably like this game. Just don’t blame me if you get addicted and forget to do your chores!
Just remember, it ain’t all fun and games. There’s a sad part to it, too. These soldiers, they fight hard, but sometimes fightin’ ain’t enough. It makes you think, you know? Makes you appreciate what you got, even if it’s just a small farm and a few chickens. But still, shootin’ aliens is a good way to pass the time, I reckon.
They say it’s the first part of Master Chief Collection, came out back in 2010 for something called Xbox 360, must be one of them fancy new contraptions. And they just put it on the computer, so everyone can play it now. That’s mighty neighborly of ’em, I think.
So, go on, give it a try. You might just like it. And if you don’t, well, there’s always more chores to be done!
