Well, let me tell ya somethin’ about these Genshin Impact keychains. My grandkids, they’re all crazy ’bout this game, always yappin’ about it. So, I figured, what the heck, let’s see what all the fuss is about. Not the game, mind you, that’s too complicated for this old lady. I’m talkin’ ’bout them little dangly things they like to hang on their backpacks and keys.
First off, where do ya even get ’em? Seems like everywhere you look, there’s some store sellin’ ’em. The internet, they call it, that fancy thingamajig. My grandson showed me, you type in “Genshin Impact keychains” and boom, hundreds of ’em pop up. Figures, plushies, clothes… they got all sorts of stuff. But we’re here to talk about the keychains, right?
Now, some of these keychains, they’re just little pieces of plastic with pictures on ’em. Like them acrylic keychains. Cheap as dirt, some of ’em, but the kids, they love ’em. Then you got the rubber ones, kinda bendy and squishy. And some, they’re metal, real shiny and fancy lookin’. My granddaughter, she likes the ones that look like the characters from the game. Aether somethin’-or-other, and that girl with the cat ears… Ke-qing, I think she’s called. There’s a whole bunch of ’em, seems like.

And the prices? Well, that’s a whole ‘nother story. You got some that cost a few dollars, and then you got some that cost a pretty penny. I saw one, a double-sided somethin’-or-other, for fourteen dollars! Fourteen dollars for a little dangly thing! Back in my day, you could get a whole meal for that much. But, I guess that’s how things are now. You got your cheap keychains for around seven bucks, then some fancier ones for eight or nine, and then the really special ones for even more.
I even saw some places sellin’ sets of keychains. Like, a whole bunch of ’em in a pack. One pack I saw had twenty-nine! Twenty-nine little characters, all in one go. Said it had all the big names… Ether, that Diluc fella, and that Zhongli fellow with the fancy name… Rex Lapis, they call him. Imagine that, Rex Lapis on a keychain! My grandkids would go hog wild for somethin’ like that.
But let me tell you, it ain’t always easy findin’ what you want. Sometimes you gotta search and search. And some of them are “handmade,” they say. Means someone probably sat there and glued the little picture onto the plastic, I reckon. But the kids, they don’t care. As long as it’s got their favorite character on it, they’re happy as clams. And that’s all that matters, I guess. Smarter shoppin’, better livin’, the ads say. I ain’t sure about the smarter shoppin’ part, but as long as it makes the grandkids happy, I guess it’s a better livin’ for me too, ha!

But if you find the right one, it’ll put a smile on your grandkid’s face. And that, my friend, is priceless.
