strategy ps4 games

[Body]

Alright, let’s talk about them strategy PS4 games, you know, the ones where you gotta use your brain a bit. Not like them shoot-em-ups my grandson plays all day. These games, they make you think, like plannin’ a big ol’ family dinner, but with more… war and stuff.

So, first off, there ain’t a whole heap of ’em on the PS4, not like on them fancy computers the city folks use. But we got some good ones, ya hear? Like this Civilization 6 game. It’s like buildin’ your own little town, but then it gets bigger and bigger, and you gotta fight off other towns and such. It’s got all these little fiddly bits, like buildin’ farms and mines, and makin’ sure your people are happy. It’s kinda like takin’ care of a big farm, but with more fightin’. You gotta plan ahead, think about where you’re gonna put stuff, or you’ll end up with a mess, like my nephew’s room after he tries to bake a cake.

Then there’s this other one, Grand Ages: Medieval. Now, this one’s a bit harder to wrap your head around. Lots of numbers and menus and such. It’s like tryin’ to figure out the price of eggs at the market when they keep changin’ it every five minutes. But if you like that kinda thing, fiddlin’ with numbers and buildin’ up a big ol’ kingdom, then this one’s for you. It’s about buildin’ a whole kingdom in the olden days, you know, with knights and castles and all that. You gotta manage your resources, trade with other towns, and keep your people from starvin’. It’s a lot to keep track of, like rememberin’ all the grandkids’ birthdays, but it can be right satisfyin’ when you see your kingdom growin’ strong.

  • Buildin’ stuff: Like buildin’ a barn, but bigger. And sometimes with cannons.
  • Fightin’ folks: Sometimes you gotta fight to keep what’s yours, like keepin’ the crows outta the cornfield.
  • Plannin’ ahead: You can’t just go plantin’ seeds willy-nilly, you gotta think about where the sun shines and where the water flows. Same with these games.

Now, I heard tell of some other games, like this Baldur’s Gate 3. My grandson was goin’ on and on about it. Said it was about adventurin’ and fightin’ monsters and makin’ choices that matter. Sounded complicated to me, but he seemed to like it. And then there’s somethin’ called Aliens: Dark Descent. That one sounds scary, with all them aliens and such. I ain’t too keen on scary stuff, gives me the heebie-jeebies. But if you like a bit of a fright with your plannin’, then maybe that’s your cup of tea.

The thing about these strategy games is they ain’t like them fast-paced games where you just run around shootin’ everything. You gotta be patient, you gotta think things through, you gotta plan your moves like you’re plannin’ a trip to town – gotta make sure you got enough gas, you know where you’re goin’, and you got enough money for groceries. It ain’t for everyone, but if you like a good challenge, if you like feelin’ like you accomplished somethin’ with your brain, then you might just like these here strategy games.

And from what I hear, a lot of these games are on that new PS5 thingamajig too. But shoot, those things cost more than a good milk cow, so I reckon I’ll stick with my PS4 for now. Besides, these games got enough in ’em to keep me busy for a good long while. Just gotta remember to take a break now and then, go outside, get some fresh air, and maybe water the garden. Can’t spend all day inside playin’ games, even if they do make you think.

So there you have it, a little bit about them PS4 strategy games. They ain’t for the faint of heart, but if you got a mind for plannin’ and a hankerin’ for a challenge, then give ’em a try. Just don’t blame me if you get hooked and forget to do your chores!
