strategy games for mac
Alright, so you wanna play some games on that fancy Mac of yours, huh? Them strategy games, they say. Well, lemme tell ya, this old gal don’t know much ‘bout computers, but I heard some things from the young’uns.
First off, they talkin’ ‘bout this Age of Empires. Says you can play it on them new M1, M2, M3 chip thingamajigs. Don’t ask me what that means, but sounds fancy. Like buildin’ empires and such. Probably gotta boss folks around, tell ‘em what to do. Just like real life, I guess, only without the achin’ back.
Then there’s this Baldur’s Gate 3. Big ol’ RPG they call it. Role Playin’ Game, I think. They say it’s on them Macs now too. Updated it or somethin’. Lots of fightin’ and storytellin’, I reckon. Probably got magic and monsters and all that jazz. Sounds like a hoot, but my eyes ain’t what they used to be for all that fast movin’ stuff.
And don’t forget Civilization 6, or Civ as them youngsters call it. Buildin’ cities and makin’ your own little world. Sounds like hard work to me, but they seem to like it. Got expansions and all sorts of things. Districts and whatnot. Confusin’ stuff, but they say it’s the bee’s knees.
- Age of Empires: Buildin’ empires and bossin’ folks around.
- Baldur’s Gate 3: Fightin’, storytellin’, magic, and monsters.
- Civilization 6: Makin’ your own world, city by city.
Now, they got other games too, lots of ‘em. Some website was talkin’ ‘bout more than 50 strategy games! Good lord, that’s a lot. Said you can play some for free, too. Can’t beat free, I always say. Build your city, expand your empire, that’s what they tell ya. Exciting stuff, apparently. For them who like that sort of thing.

Heard tell of StarCraft 2, somethin’ ‘bout a high score, 93 they said. Released a while back, July 27th they told me. Must be good if it got a high score, right? Though I don’t know nothin’ ‘bout no scores. Back in my day, the score was how many potatoes you dug up before sundown.
And then there’s them war games. Big metal beasts, they call ‘em. Tanks and such. Light tanks, medium tanks, heavy tanks, tank destroyers… sounds like a whole lotta noise to me. Fightin’ for your nation, they say. More fightin’! Don’t these kids ever get tired of fightin’? 800 steel beasts, they said. Imagine that! Clankin’ and bangin’ all over the place.
So, there ya have it. A whole bunch of strategy games for that Mac of yours. Age of Empires, Baldur’s Gate 3, Civilization 6, StarCraft 2, and them tank games. More than 50, they say. Go on and pick one, see if you like it. Just don’t stay up too late playin’. Nothin’ good ever comes from stayin’ up too late, I tell ya. And remember to eat your vegetables!
Strategy games, they call ‘em. Sounds complicated to me. But if it keeps them young’uns outta trouble, then I guess it’s alright. Just make sure they take a break now and then, get some fresh air. And maybe help an old lady with her groceries sometime, instead of just starin’ at that screen all day.
Now, where did I put my glasses? Can’t see a darn thing without ’em. These games, they’re all well and good, but I’d rather be out in the garden, tendin’ to my tomatoes. Now that’s what I call a good strategy – gettin’ food on the table! But you young folks, you go on and have your fun. Just remember what I said, eat your vegetables!
