Alright, let’s talk about this Arena 67 Games and hardware stuff. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I’ll tell ya what I know and what I’ve heard. It’s all about them video games and the stuff you need to play ’em, like them computer thingies and whatnot.

So, first off, this Arena 67 Games, sounds like a fancy place, eh? Folks keep talkin’ ’bout it online, on that Facebook thingy my grandkid showed me. Says it’s in some place called Campo Grande. Never been there myself, but sounds like a big city. They got this “e-Sports” thing goin’ on there. Now, I ain’t too sure what that is, but it sounds like serious business. They got all sorts of games at this Arena place, I reckon. Shootin’ games, racin’ games, fightin’ games… you name it, they probably got it. My grandkid, he’s always playin’ this one game with the shootin’ and the buildin’. Fortnite, I think he calls it. Says he’s gotta be the best. Kids, I tell ya!

• Shootin’ Games: Bang, bang, you’re dead! That’s what them young’uns like.
• Racin’ Games: Vroom, vroom, fast cars and all that. Makes me dizzy just thinkin’ about it.
• Fightin’ Games: Punchin’ and kickin’, just like them wrasslin’ matches on TV.

Hardware – The Stuff You Need

Now, to play these games, you need the right stuff. They call it “hardware”. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find at the hardware store down the street, but it’s different, I tell ya. It’s all about them computers and controllers and such.

Computers: These ain’t your grandma’s typewriters, let me tell ya. They got these fancy screens and buttons and all sorts of lights blinkin’. Cost a pretty penny, too, from what I hear. My grandkid says you need a fast one to play them games good. Somethin’ about “graphics cards” and “processors”. Sounds like gibberish to me, but he says it’s important.

Consoles: These are like special boxes you hook up to your TV. PlayStation, Xbox… them’s the names I hear thrown around. My neighbor’s kid got one of them PlayStations. Always screamin’ at the TV, he is. Drives his mama crazy, I tell ya.

Controllers: You can’t just sit there and stare at the screen, ya gotta control the game somehow. That’s where these controllers come in. Got all sorts of buttons and sticks and whatnot. Looks complicated to me, but them kids figure it out quick enough. They got fingers like lightnin’, I swear.

Where to Get This Stuff?

Now, where you gonna get all this hardware? Well, there’s places like that Arena 67, they might sell it. Or you can go to them hardware stores. Not the kind with hammers and nails, mind you, but the kind with computers and electronics. Places like “Berkeley Ace Hardware” or “The Home Depot” they sell some stuff, but my grandkid says there are special stores just for gaming stuff. Online too, I guess. But I don’t trust that online stuff, too easy to get tricked.

Support and Fixing Stuff

And what happens when somethin’ breaks? Well, you need someone to fix it, right? That’s where this “technical assistance” comes in. Them folks at Arena 67, they probably do that kinda stuff. Or you gotta find some other fella who knows about computers. Expensive, I bet. Nothin’s cheap these days.

It’s A Whole Different World

Anyways, that’s all I know about this Arena 67 Games and hardware business. It’s a whole different world from what I’m used to. Back in my day, we played outside. Now, kids just sit in front of a screen all day. Times sure have changed, I tell ya. But as long as they’re havin’ fun, I guess it’s alright. Just don’t let ’em spend all day indoors, that ain’t healthy. Gotta get some fresh air and sunshine, that’s what I say.
